With Summer finally arriving here in the UK, I was excited to see what was going to be inside this month’s Glossybox as I really love the Summer themed beauty boxes that they do. June’s Glossybox is all focused on products that will keep your hair and skin looking effortlessly flawless and healthy during the warmer months ahead – and who doesn’t want that?!
So then, inside this month’s Glossybox, I found six beauty products, three of which are full sizes and the rest are deluxe travel sizes or samples:-
Beauty Pro Black Diamon Peel Off Mask (1 mask sachet – RRP £4.95 for a pack of 3 masks)
If you’re a beauty/skincare fan, I’m sure you’ve already seen the many Youtube videos on these black peel off masks – there’s certainly a huge hype around them and it’s oddly satisfying watching people peel them off! This one’s from Beauty Pro and it contains the key ingredient Activated Charcoal to deeply cleanse, rebalance excess sebum/oil and draw out all those blackheads and impurities. I applied this with a brush as it was quite messy to use and left it on my skin for about 20 minutes until it had fully set. It wasn’t too painful to peel off thankfully and it managed to get rid of some really stubborn blackheads on my nose so this gets a thumbs up from me!
111 Skin Space Defence Bright Eye Lift Gel (5ml deluxe sample – full size is £110!)
If you received a Glossybox last month, you’ll already be familiar with this product as it was featured as the special ‘sneak peek’ on the info card. Sadly, I’m not the biggest fan of eye gels as I prefer creams, so I’ve passed this onto my mum who was looking for a new eye product to try out. This eye gel promises to reduce the appearance of dark circles, minimise puffiness and soften the appearance of fine lines. My mum’s only been using it for about a week, but so far she really likes it.
Sleek Makeup Power Plump Lip Crayon (full size, RRP £5.50)
Sleek are a great makeup brand to check out if you’re on a budget and I’ve tried a lot of their products, but this Power Plump Lip Crayon is a new one to me. It’s been formulated with a ‘lip-tingling’ ingredient to make your lips temporarily fuller and more plumped up, and I received it in the shade Colossal Coral which is a gorgeous colour for Summer. I really like this – the tingling isn’t overwhelming (in fact, I could only feel it for a few seconds) and the glossy finish looks so pretty.
Noughty Intensive Care Leave-In Conditioner (full size, RRP £6.99)
I’ve had the pleasure of trying out a couple of products from Noughty for my personal blog, including this Intensive Care Leave-In Conditioner, and I’m happy to say that it’s a good one! It contains Argan Oil, Shea Butter, Sunflower Seed and Sweet Almond Seed extracts to help strengthen hair, banish flyaways and frizz and keep it nourished for longer. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans, it’s also cruelty-free and a little goes a long way with this product so a tube will last you ages!
Batiste Stylist Hydrating Oil Mist (full size, RRP £4.49)
This is an interesting new product from Batiste as it’s an oil mist that’s infused with Inca Inchi and Abyssinian Oils which help to reduce breakage by up to 50%. I regularly use oil treatments on my hair but this was the first time that I’ve tried an oil mist before. It sprays out quite fine and does a good job, but I’m not sure that I would replace my proper hair oil treatments with this anytime soon, but I do like it for a quick fix when I’m short on time.
Manna Kadar Cosmetics Sheer Glo Illuminator (20ml deluxe travel size – full size is £22.50)
If you’re a fan of subtle highlighters, this liquid illuminator from Manna Kadar will be right up your street. It has a very subtle and pretty effect, blends easily and can be applied anywhere on the face where you want some extra glow. Makes a nice change from my more full-on highlighters and is perfect for everyday wear, especially in the Summer or on holiday.
