Greenecobox is a monthly lifestyle based subscription box that promotes and works with a wide range of eco-friendly artisans from around the world. Their boxes are aimed at those who want to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle, and offer an exciting range of products which usually include food, tea, cooking ingredients, sweets, cruelty-free and natural toiletries, and practical eco-friendly products.
To further support their environmental stance, Greenecobox donates to two different campaigns/charities every month on your behalf with the purchase of each Bee Happy Box. February’s chosen projects are OneTreePlanted (one tree will be planted for you in Indonesia and you’ll receive a certificate of proof in your box), and €4 will be donated to Water Footprint who help to develop and promote the fair use of fresh water, enabling communities to become more water aware and sustainable in the long term.
Moving onto the Greenecobox itself, here are the contents for February’s Bee Happy Box:-
La Chambre aux Confitures – Lemon Jam with Vanilla
I love trying out unusual combinations of proper homemade jam and this one from the French artisans is such a great find! Made with 58% fruit, this zesty marmalade preserve contains Quince, Lemon and Vanilla Seeds for a tasty spread on toast or a delicious topping on pancakes or porridge. It’s full of fresh flavour!
Casa V. Mulino – Rosemary Linguettes
Travelling now to Italy, we find a box of Rosemary Linguettes which are handmade by Casa V. Mulino. Faithful to the old traditional ways of baking, this bakery uses age-old recipes and the finest ingredients to create its delicious baked goods. These flatbreads are delicate, crunchy and made with a fine puff pastry that has 10% Extra Virgin Olive Oil and 1.5% Fresh Rosemary. It’s the perfect accompaniment for antipasti and wine.
Les Comptoirs du Thé – Kimono Tea
I love discovering new artisan tea brands so I was over the moon to find this box from the French artisans Les Comptoirs du Thé. Their Kimono Tea is a Green Tea which has been expertly blended with Peach, Apricot, Blueberry, Rose and Marigold. It has a distinguished fruity and floral flavour that’s balanced out nicely by the base of Green Tea.
Uoga Uoga Lavender & Raspberry Shower Gel
Next up, I found a bottle of Lavender & Raspberry Shower Gel which is made in Lithuania by an independent company called Uoga Uoga. This shower gel is very soft in formula so that it’s gentle on the skin, and it doesn’t contain any nasties that would harm you or the fish in the sea, with utmost importance being placed on the environment. It smells gorgeous too!
Feel Green Aloe Vera
Finally, from Austra comes Ecocan from a small eco-friendly company called Feel Green who specialise in plants that you can grow at home from seed. Their ecocans contain special natural growth pellets and the seeds needed, so that all you need to do is water it regularly in a warm and sunny spot in your home – easy! This one is for an Aloe Vera plant which is revered for its decorative and medicinal properties.
At the bottom of the box, I found a packet of extras from Greenecobox and these included two tea bags from Higher Living Organic Tea in Chamomile Vanilla and Sweet Dreams, a Cafe Tasse Noir Orange chocolate and an Organic Cacao Truffle – yum!
