With the continuing success of #PlasticFreeJuly and the emphasis on cleaning up our oceans and environment, I have seen a growing demand for more eco-friendly subscription boxes, and one such box that is leading the way is GreenEcoBox. They work closely with over 70 eco-conscious artisans from across the UK and Europe which means that every single box is really exciting to open up as the contents change every time, and there’s always a fantastic selection of food and lifestyle products included.
GreenEcoBox also donates £4.50 to Greenpeace for every Bee Happy Box sold, as well as planting a tree in Haiti on your behalf (by OneTreePlanted). In addition, the paper that contains the flyer of this information can be planted in your garden as it’s studded with vegetable seeds – how clever is that?!
This month’s Bee Happy Box from GreenEcoBox recently arrived, so let’s take a closer look at the goodies inside.
Menakao Madagascan Vanilla Milk Chocolate
Winner of the Bronze Laureate 2017 at the Academie des Chocolats, this artisan chocolate is made from the finest quality Madagascan Vanilla and Cocoa Beans, which gives it a truly rich and indulgent taste. With delicate flavours of sweet butter and fudgy caramel, every mouthful of this milk chocolate is pure heaven!
Compagnie Générale Biscuiterie Pavés de la Butte
Following in the footsteps of the famous Madame Debray, these French artisan biscuiteers have revived an old French recipe which is steeped in the rich history of Montmartre in Paris to create these exquisite biscuits. Pavés de la Butte are made from a simple natural blend of the best Flour, Butter, Vanilla Sugar, Ground Almonds and Vanilla extract and they have a moreishly sweet flavour and crunch to them. The perfect accompaniment to an afternoon tea or a café au lait.
The Belles de Savon Zilpha La Cavaliere
Reducing your plastic consumption is easy with 3-in-1 products like this beauty bar. Made from a skin-softening blend of Shea Butter and Castor Oil, this creamy soap style product can be used on the face, body and hair, making it ideal for travelling with. It has a touch of Cocoa Powder added to the all-natural formula, which gives it a sweet biscuity, chocolate scent – delicious!
Brew Tea Co Fruit Punch Tea
Here in England, Brew Tea Co have come up with a yummy blend of Fruit Punch Teas. Each whole-leaf tea bag boasts a mix of herbs and real whole fruit pieces, which results in one of the fruitiest teas that I’ve ever tried! Each cup is strong and punchy (hence the name) and has lovely flavours of citrus and red berries.
Centonze Organic Olive Oil
Isn’t this the most luxurious and beautiful bottle of organic Olive Oil you’ve ever seen in your life?! Made in Sicily, this oil is considered a real secret among gourmands and it ranks in the top 10 organic olive oils in the world – impressive! It has an exceptionally clean and pure taste which is amazing drizzled over salads and stirred into risottos. You can really taste the difference with this one!
In a packet in the corner of the box, I also found some extras that GreenEcoBox have kindly added; two organic teabag samples from Higher Living in Strawberry & Watermelon and Verry Berry flavours and three mini chocolates from the French brand Valrhona.
