Bee Happy Box is a monthly, eco-friendly lifestyle subscription box from Greenecobox, a company that focuses on discovering the very best artisanal products from a wide range of independents. The products often include food, drink, beauty and toiletries, as well as eco-friendly items, so there’s a great mix for those who are curious to find products that they cannot readily source from mainstream shops or supermarkets.
In addition to your subscription, Greenecobox will donate to two different campaigns/charities on your behalf. This month’s chosen projects are OneTreePlanted (one tree will be planted for you in Vietnam) and you’ll receive a certificate of proof in your box), and €4 will be donated to Eurogroup For Animals who campaign to end the use of animals in the circus and aquatic entertainment industries and look at other solutions to stop their suffering.
So let’s see what’s inside the box, shall we?
Kent & Fraser Vanilla Butter Crunch Sweet Biscuits
These delicious gluten-free biscuits from the English artisans Kent & Fraser are the perfect accompaniment to a cup of tea or coffee. They have a crispy, crumbly texture with a really rich and creamy buttery taste that’s infused with pure Madagascar Vanilla. I will definitely be purchasing these again!
Conserverie Sauvers Eggplant Caviar
Hopping over to France, Conserverie Sauvers has created a tasty plant-based ‘caviar/sauce’ from Aubergines and Dried Tomatoes. Their products have been made by hand for the past 25 years in an artisanal cannery located in the Landreau in the heart of the vineyards of Nantes. This allows them to source the very best and freshest local ingredients which are all organic, with the end result being free from artificial preservatives, additives and colours. I really enjoyed trying this and it’s brilliant spread onto slices of toasted baguette as an aperitif.
Valenbrook Basil And Lime Syrup
Next up, I found a lovely glass bottle of Basil And Lime Syrup from the German artisans, Valenbrook. This fruity and herbaceous combination of Lime and Basil is the ideal base for a Mojito cocktail, and it can also be used with Prosecco and Mineral Water to create more refreshing drinks, as well as being added to desserts and pastries.
Bain And Savon Himalayan Salt Deodorant
This month’s natural cosmetic product is an interesting natural deodorant stone. Created by the English artisans Bain And Savon, this stone is made from pure, hand-extracted salt that’s derived from ancient sea salt deposits in the foothills of the Himalayas. Not only does this mean that the deodorant is all-natural and unprocessed, but it also contains 84 beneficial minerals. To use it, you simply wet it and smooth onto the skin. It’s hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, unisex and 100% biodegradable so if you’re looking for a zero-waste deodorant, this is it!
Eugea La Potager Jardin
For something that you can grow at home, this package from the Italian Eugea contains four cubes. Each cube has the seeds of a single plant series, so here you’ll find Climbing Pea, Cut Lettuce, Cherry Tomato and Calendula, all in sufficient quantities to allow the cultivation of a pot of 20cm in diameter for each plant. A brilliant way to start growing your own plants in your garden.
Higher Living Organic Teas
To complete the box, there are two samples of Higher Living Organic Teas in Morning Mojo and Golden Turmeric to enjoy :)
