I Love Gin is one of my favourite subscription boxes to review and I always enjoy receiving the box every month and seeing what exciting new gins are inside for myself and my friends to try! Each box contains enough to serve up four delicious G&T’s in the comfort of your own home, so let’s get stuck in and see what’s inside their latest box which is themed The Scottish Cliffs.
Rock Rose Premium Scottish Gin – Scottish Botanicals (50ml, 41.5%)
Located in the stunning bay of Dunnet in Caithness, surrounded by fresh air and the purest Highland water, Dunnet Bay Distillers have created Rock Rose, a premium Scottish gin which uses carefully selected, local and traditional botanicals. The gin is then made using a slower vapour infused process to extract the botanical flavours and the result is a pure, clean and crisp taste. Rock Rose also takes its name from one of the Scottish botanicals used and the resulting flavour elements of fresh and floral notes – it’s uniquely delicious!
Rock Rose Old Tom Gin – Pink Grapefruit (50ml, 41.5%)
To complement the traditional Old Tom Gin formula which is a proper full-bodied and rounded gin, this Pink Grapefruit adds a trendy edge with its bright and zesty notes, which is fresh and citrusy. Balanced with the Juniper and with a little Vanilla for a subtle sweetness, it’s the ideal gin for your summer G&Ts.
Poachers Irish Mixers – Premium Wild Tonic Water and Premium Citrus Tonic Water
The mixers this time are both from Poachers who are famed for their premium drinks that are made in County Wexford, Ireland. They use hand-cut botanicals and Irish herbs with pure Irish Spring Water for a real premium flavour. Here you can try their popular Wild and Citrus Tonic Water varieties, which are a fantastic match for the Scottish Rock Rose gins above.
