May’s I Love Gin box arrived a little later than usual due to the recent Bank Holiday and is themed The Passion Box. Here’s what’s inside:-
Boë Scottish Gin and Boë Passion Gin (50ml, 41.5% vol each)
I was over the moon to discover not one but two gins from Boë Gin, as I’ve heard so many positive things about the brand online recently. This Scottish based distillery takes its name from Franz de la Boe, the professor who was in search of a medicinal tonic and mixed neutral spirit with juniper berries, thus creating the first ever Gin!
Lovingly created in small batches in the village of Throsk near Stirling, Boë Gin uses only rare hand-picked botanicals and spices in its products. These are then infused with the finest neutral grain spirit for the fullest flavour possible.
Boë Scottish Gin is triple filtered for an ultimate taste sensation, creating a high-class gin that’s characteristically citrusy with balance and smoothness. It has a lovely clean and fresh taste which makes a fantastic G&T.
Boë Passion Gin, on the other hand, is a stylish Passionfruit flavoured gin which has a warm lingering finish of exotic fruits with a fruity aroma and a bright colour. This is one of the newest gins that Boë have created so as a I Love Gin subscriber, you are one of the first to try it!
The Artisan Drinks Co Classic London Tonic and Skinny London Tonic (200ml each)
To go with your Boë gins, I Love Gin has included two tonic waters from the premium The Artisan Drinks Co. Created by an entrepreneur and an artist, The Artisan Drinks Co are true purists of their field with a high-quality range of mixers.
The Classic London Tonic combines natural citrus flavours with subtle botanical notes, whilst the Skinny London Tonic uses specially selected orange and lemon essences, combined with a lower amount of fruit sugar levels for a rounded aftertaste and dry finish.
Needless to say, I thought these paired really well with the Boë gins as they made some delicious G&Ts!
There are two extras this time around too which was a pleasant surprise – you can enjoy a mini Bottle Green Cordial in Plump Summer Raspberry to add to your G&Ts this Summer, and nibble on a bag of Whitworth Shots in Berry and White Chocolate – yum!
