I Love Gin is a monthly subscription box which comprises of two mini bottles of artisan gin and two premium mixers/tonics which means that you can create up to four G&Ts in the comfort of your own home. If you’d like more, you can double up your subscription, but either way, it’s excellent value for money and a great way to sample some gins that you probably haven’t heard of before.
This month’s I Love Gin is themed The Cornish Elements Box and contains the following:-
Elemental Cornish Apple Gin (50ml, 38% vol)
Both of the gins this month are from Elemental who specialise in making proper Cornish Gin – in fact, they are one of the first gins to be exclusively bottled and distilled in Cornwall for over 300 years! This Apple variant features the classic Elemental Cornish Gin infused with Apples and a hint of Elderflower for sweetness (perfect for balancing the tart notes of the Apples). It’s a fantastic summer gin which goes well with an Elderflower based tonic or simply try it with a high-quality apple juice for a tasty Gin Appletini!
Elemental Classic Cornish Gin (50ml, 42% vol)
Produced in small batches and handcrafted in a traditional copper still using locally sourced Cornish spring water from Bodmin Moor, Elemental Classic Cornish Gin is exceptionally smooth and fresh with vibrant citrusy notes and a gentle spicy finish. Each bottle is hand labelled and here you can see Elemental’s brand new design before anyone else as a subscriber to I Love Gin.
Hartridges Light Tonic Water & Floral Elderflower Tonic (both 200ml each)
This month, there are two tonics to try from Hartridges who use only the finest natural ingredients to create their mixers – their original tonic water recipe is over 130 year old! The Light Tonic Water is a crisp and dry botanical tonic that suits all manner of dry gins, whilst the Floral Elderflower Tonic is a fresh and lightly refreshing infusion that works well with both classic dry gins and flavoured gins such as the Elemental Cornish Apple Gin above.
