LDN Colour – Gel Nail Kit

Getting your nails done at the salon is a wonderful treat for many women and gel manicures have become hugely popular over the years. Sometimes though, it can be difficult to find the time to pop into town with work and family commitments, so why not try a gel nail manicure that you can do yourself at home?

LDN Colour are a specialist gel nail subscription box where you’ll receive a full Gel Nail Kit in your first month. After that, you’ll receive a new gel nail colour every month, plus nail care tools and essentials, as well as some pampering goodies! These may include items such as chrome powders, nail art decorations, mani tapes, glitters, stencils, cuticle oils, brushes, and face masks, so you’ll always have something exciting to look forward to every month.

The LDN Colour Gel Nail Kit arrived in a sleek and well presented black box and included all of the following products:-

• LDN Colour LED nail dryer lamp
• Nail file
• Rainbow cuticle pusher
• LDN Colour One Step Gel Nail Polish (10ml) of your choice
• USB cable to connect your nail dryer lamp to a power source
• Remover pads

I found the kit very easy to use as you don’t need to apply a base or top coat. You simply prep your nails with the cuticle pusher and nail file, make sure that they are clean and dry, and then apply a thin coat of the Nail Gel Colour. Put your nails under the lamp (which stands up and can be connected to your laptop which is what I did) for just 30 seconds, and then repeat the process if desired. Very fast and very simple!

For my Nail Gel Kit, I received the shade Ruislip Raspberry which I absolutely love!

I applied two coats (putting my nails under the lamp for 30 seconds in between each one), which resulted in a perfectly opaque and glossy finish. This is such a great shade for the Winter months ahead! As this was my first time using an at-home gel manicure kit, I’m confident that my application skills will develop into a tidier finish in the near future, but I’m very happy with LDN Colour kit and the performance of the nail gel.
