Each box comes with a beautifully written leaflet/card which features that month’s candle in more detail so you can learn more about the brand which it’s from. There’s a box of matches which I think is a really nice touch for a box of this nature.
Maren + Wild 005 Candle
This month, subscribers will discover the gorgeous Maren + Wild 005 Candle. Maren + Wild is founded by Kate who hand-pours every candle from her studio at the gateway to the Jurassic Coast in Devon. The name for the brand was chosen because ‘Maren’ comes from the Latin, ‘of the sea’, and ‘Wild’ highlights the woods and heathland that runs adjacent to where she lives – very fitting!
The 005 Candle is a gorgeous summery candle that retails for £24 and has a burn time of around 45 hours. Made from a blend of natural rapeseed and coconut waxes, it has lovely notes of Neroli, Wild Basil, Mandarin, Bergamot, Rose, Musk, and Amber. This culminates in a fragrance that’s fresh and light, as well as being evocative of warm walks through the Mediterranean. I love it!
Olly’s Salted Original Pretzel Thins
Every Light Box Candles box comes with an extra little snack treat and this month it’s a pack of Olly’s Salted Original Pretzel Thins which are vegan-friendly, oven-baked and have a moreish thin and crispy texture.
