To celebrate the New Year, My Little Box have put together an extra-special box for January. Or rather a ‘bag’, as the traditional box has temporarily been replaced with a large cotton drawstring bag which features a range of lifestyle quotes on the front, to inspire you to get the most out of the new year ahead. Whilst the box format will be back next month, My Little Box have decided to make one big change this year as they have said au revoir to the My Little World magazine which used to accompany the box every month. I’ll be sad to see it go because I always enjoyed reading it, and it was by far the best beauty box magazine that I’d seen, but I’m also excited to see what My Little Box decide to include instead, as they have mentioned that it will be replaced with other ‘surprises’ in future boxes. We shall see!
So onto January’s box, and the theme is ‘Fresh Start‘. Here’s what I found inside:-My Little Box Timeless Planner
I’m a huge stationary geek, and I love buying and receiving pretty notebooks that I can use to organise my life. This hardback A5 Timeless Planner will come in super handy this year, and I’ve already started to fill in some of the weeks. It’s a 52 week diary/planner, but it doesn’t contain any dates so you can use it as and when you feel like it to plan your weeks, and it’s been a useful accompaniment to my 2017 diary for University as it helps to separate my study schedule from my work/life schedule.
Amongst the weeks, are lots of little exercises that you can do to reflect on certain things and to plan your goals and projects (e.g there’s a travel section where you can list 5 places that you’d like to visit soon, as well as questions that you can answer such as ‘If money didn’t matter, what job would you do?’ etc). It’s definitely one of my favourite lifestyle products that My Little Box have included so far!Pack of 5 Idea Cards
Tucked inside the Timeless Planner, I found a separate pack of ‘5 Idea Cards’, which focus on changes that you can make to your life to improve your job, happiness, purpose and overall creativity. It can be easy to get down with things when life isn’t going according to plan, so these are really helpful to make you stop and reflect on the area that you want to change, and the ideas have been compiled by psychologists, authors and lifestyle experts to give you some important pointers.
My Little Box Snood
I love finding fashion and accessories in these boxes, and I love this cute snood! It’s made from a lightweight, chiffon-style material and features a lovely, abstract bird print. Feels really nice quality too, and I know it’s something that I’ll get a lot of use out of during the upcoming Spring months.
My Little Beauty Boost Yourself Energising Body Cream
With the weather currently hovering around the freezing mark here in the UK, I’m going through my stash of body moisturisers like no-one’s business, so it’s great to see a Body Cream in here! This one’s from My Little Box’s own brand range which I really like, and it works a treat. Perfect to use after your morning shower because it’s infused with Ginger and energising fruits to wake you up, and it feels very comforting and hydrating. Made from 98.5% natural ingredients.
My Little Beauty Sweet Hand Cream
Another My Little Beauty product, this hand cream has a subtle sweet marshmallow and vanilla scent. I’ve been using it before going to bed and it’s been a real pampering treat for my dry hands!Garnier Ultimate Blends Honey Treasures Hair Mask
Sticking with the hydration theme, I found a travel size sample of Garnier’s bestsellers Ultimate Blends range from their popular Honey Treasures line. I haven’t used anything from this range before, so I’m looking forward to seeing what it can do for my dry and damaged hair.
Merci Handy Toothpaste in Holy Mint
This last product isn’t going to be particularly exciting to most people, but I always appreciate getting hygiene basics like this because I often forget to pack them in my travel bag! The Merci Handy toothpaste is 98% natural which I’m interested in trying as I’ve been looking into more natural alternatives to things like toothpaste and mouthwash recently. Everyone uses toothpaste (or I hope they do!), so thanks My Little Box, it’s definitely a handy product to have!
A great start to the New Year – I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next month!
