My Little Box

Continuing with the ongoing central theme of Summer, My Little Box are taking its subscribers to the beach with a fun holiday inspired box this month. July’s edition sees a cool Seashell themed print on the box itself, and there are lots of nautical and wave designs inside to represent this beach friendly box!

As always with My Little Box, there’s a really good mix of beauty and lifestyle products included and I feel that this month’s box is especially appealing to those who enjoy receiving a variety of treats inside their subscription boxes.

Here’s what I found inside July’s My Little Box:-

Let’s Go To The Sea Kanako Print

This month’s Kanako Print features a simple but dreamy illustration of some watercolour waves, alongside the slogan ‘Let’s Go To The Sea’. I think this will look great framed next to some of my other bedroom prints.

Pack of Two Notecards and Envelopes

With this little pack of notecards, My Little Box are encouraging their subscribers to put down their phones and switch off their laptops, and instead, write a note to a friend or a loved one with some good old fashioned pen and paper. I must admit, emails and texts have definitely taken over my life and I can’t actually remember the last time that I wrote a letter to someone so I’ll certainly be using these!

Seashell Sweet

This sweet has confused me because it contains a solid sugar based candy (that you can eat) inside a real seashell, but you’re not supposed to put it into your mouth? A bit strange as I’m not really sure what you’re supposed to do with it!

Summer Night Candle Holders with two Tealights

These paper based candle holders are designed to be used outside so you can enjoy all of those late summer nights with your friends and family. Don’t worry though – the paper is fireproof, and it’s recommended that you put the tea lights into glass containers before putting them in the paper holders to give them a bit more stability against any sudden gusts of wind. They are very pretty with their gradient design, and the metal wire hangers mean that they can be placed on tree branches if desired for a proper midsummer’s night dream.

Traveler Pouch Pillow

Perhaps the coolest product that I’ve seen in a subscription box for a long time is this 2-in-1 Traveler Pouch Pillow. You can use it as either a roomy, waterproof travel bag/pouch for taking your essentials to the beach, or you can blow it up to use it as an inflatable travel pillow – how awesome is that?! I love the Kanako waves design with the slogan ‘Sea, Nap & Sun’ on the front too, and I’ll definitely be taking this with me on my next beach holiday!

Qiriness Eye Masks (1 pair)

Moving onto the beauty products which were in an adorable seashell print cotton drawstring bag this month. The first item that I pulled out were these Eye Masks from French brand, Qiriness. This pack contains two hydrogel eye masks which aim to soothe, decongest, hydrate and boost the radiance of the delicate and often darker under eye area within 20-30 minutes. I’m a big fan of eye masks and these were so lovely to use! I saw a noticeable brightening difference and they made my dry under-eye area feel wonderfully soft and smooth afterwards.

Institut Karite Rose Mademoiselle Shea Hand Cream (30ml travel size)

The last time that my mum was in Paris she bought me a lovely gift set from Institut Karite, and I really enjoyed using all of the products in it, so I was pleased to see this hand cream from the same brand in this month’s box. Institut Karite are famous for their rich and moisturising formulas which use shea butter as a key ingredient. This hand cream is fantastic for dry hands and has a delicate scent of fresh roses which I love. This travel size tube is also great for popping into your handbag or keeping in your desk drawer at work.

My Little Beauty Sandy Shore Body Scrub (210g)

The last beauty product is from My Little Box’s own brand, My Little Beauty, and this is their Sandy Shore Body Scrub. Made from Polynesian Sand, Sea Salt Crystals, Tiare Flower and Seaweed Oils, it gently exfoliates dull dead skin cells from the body, leaving skin feeling smoother and looking clearer. I love scrubs like these and this one smells gorgeous!
