Summer is well and truly upon us, and for this month’s My Little Box, the MLB team have taken us all the way to the sunny West Coast with a Los Angeles themed box. The box cover design kicks off this theme with a Kanako illustration of a typical Californian blonde woman standing in front of a vintage convertible, complete with a surfboard on the back seat and palm trees in the background – it looks amazing!
LA is high up on my list of destinations that I’d love to visit in the near future, so I was really excited to see what was inside this month’s box:-
My Little Box Take Me Away Cotton Beach/Tote Bag
The first thing that I found when I opened the box was a neatly folded cotton bag on top of everything else and I was surprised by how big it was! This is a great size to take to the beach or you could even use it as your carry-on bag for your next plane trip. The material feels good quality and I love the ‘Take Me Away’ slogan on the front.
Mini Los Angeles Hipster Travel Guide & Fold-Out Kanako Map
Compiled by Fringe & Frange, the next item that I found was a mini ‘Welcome To Los Angeles’ travel guide, which features around 16 ‘must-see’ places in LA, all with a cool, youthful hipster vibe. Included are burger bar suggestions alongside museums and the usual major tourist spots. On the flipside of the guide is a fold-out map illustration by Kanako of LA which is pretty neat.
3D Stickers
I love stickers and these LA themed ones are super cute! Happy to add these to my sticker stash, and I can’t wait to use them on postcards and letters this Summer.
California Dreamin’ Pom Pom Charm Bracelet
This month’s fashion accessory is a California Dreamin’ Charm Bracelet which features a mix of dark turquoise green and gold beads, finished off with a flamingo pink tassel. You can pull the end of the tassel bow to adjust the bracelet to the exact size of your wrist, so it’s great that it’s suitable for everyone to wear.
My Little Beauty Coconut Sunrise Body and Hair Oil (75ml travel size)
Moving onto the beauty products, I found a travel size bottle of Coconut Sunrise Body and Hair Oil which is made by My Little Box’s own brand company, My Little Beauty. This multi-purpose oil smells amazing and is made with a 99.8% natural and vegan blend featuring Coconut Oil, Passionfruit and Achiote Seed Extract. You can use it as a pre-shampoo treatment mask on your hair (just leave on for 20 minutes or overnight for extra hydration), as well as all over your body to moisturise and add a healthy looking sheen. A fab product to have in your holiday bag!
Burt’s Bees Soap Bark & Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream (20g travel size)
Burt’s Bees are one of my favourite brands, and this Deep Cleansing Cream is 99.99% natural. You can use it as a regular morning cleanser, and it also doubles up as a makeup remover too, so it’s another handy multi-purpose holiday product. I’ve used it a couple of times in the past and it’s really good so I’m happy to have a travel size of it for my toiletries bag.
Palmer’s Coconut Oil Body Lotion (50ml travel size)
Finally, the last beauty product of this month’s box is a travel size of Palmer’s Coconut Oil Body Lotion which smells wonderfully summery and well, coconutty! The bottle is a really cool slim and compact design, so it’s perfect for travelling with and will take up hardly any space in your suitcase or hand luggage.
