One of my favourite things about My Little Box are their monthly themes – they’re constantly thinking of brand new ideas and concepts to keep things interesting for their subscribers, which I really appreciate from a beauty, fashion and lifestyle box. May’s My Little Box is all about celebrating Friday Night with your best friends and it contains a lively bunch of girly products to help you do just that!
As always, the box arrived via courier and everything was beautifully wrapped up inside. I couldn’t wait to open it so here are the contents of this month’s box:-
Black Bow Tie Bra Accessory
Well this is different isn’t it?! The first item that I opened up was a black bow tie accessory that you can slip onto the band of your bra. It’s designed so that you can show it off when you’re wearing backless tops and dresses, and I have to admit I kinda like it! With Summer coming up, I’m sure this will look great with some of my dresses and it’s nice to have something cover up the back of your bra when you are wearing backless tops.
Gold Geometric Hairpin
Now this is cute. I love experimenting with different hairstyles and now the warmer weather is finally here, I want to try out some new up do styles to keep my hair away from my face when it’s hot outside! This gold coloured geometric hairpin is easy to use, feels good quality and looks really pretty for a range of hairstyles.
My Little Box Coasters
It wouldn’t be a Friday Night box without a reference to some cocktails, and this pack of four cork coasters with a bright and playful design will look great on any table top. Again, these feel good quality and underneath the pack, I found a short but sweet list of cocktail recipes that you can share with your family and friends this weekend. 
L’Occitane 5 Essential Oils Shampoo (50ml travel size bottle)
I’m a huge fan of the French beauty brand L’Occitane, and I was pleased to see a travel size bottle of one of their bestselling products in this month’s box. This is their popular shampoo which is formulated with five key essential oils to keep hair looking shiny and feeling strong. I’ve actually used this a couple of times in the past and it’s amazing, so I’m thrilled to have it back in my life!
NailMatic Nail Varnish (full size bottle)
Although I enjoy receiving nail polishes in beauty boxes, I was surprised to find a darker taupey brown colour in a Friday Night themed box as I think a brighter, more Summer-friendly or even glittery shade would have worked better with the overall theme. However, I do love these taupe/mushroom shades, so I’m looking forward to treating myself to a manicure with it later this week.
My Little Beauty Eye Pencil & Smudger Duo (full size)
The last product that I found in this month’s My Little Box was from LMB’s own brand beauty line called My Little Beauty. I’ve received quite a lot of products from their range over the past couple of months and they have all been fantastic quality. This black eye pencil is richly pigmented, applies smoothly, and the smudger tip on the end makes short work of creating a party-ready smokey eye in seconds.
