Little World Builder 1- Big Ben

Little World Builder is a fun way for your children to learn about iconic buildings around the world, and complete a model of each one.

Your guides are Hailey and Caesar, two children who go on adventures to visit all the featured buildings.

We’ve already received the Builder Kit, so this is the first actual building!

The box is fairly large. It does have a personalised sticker with your child’s name, as children always love to have things with their own name on!

Inside is the letter to parents, giving you a brief overview of this month’s box.

The portion of the box that covers the rest of the contents also doubles as a display stand for your completed model.

The first thing out is the souvenir – a self-inflating balloon that you can colour in! This balloon is very clever, I have no idea how it’s made, but after it’s coloured in you give it a thump to break a little bag inside the balloon, and magically it inflates!

Here are the building notes. There’s lots of history about Big Ben, including how it got its name, and how technically it’s the bell that’s called Big Ben!

There’s the activity pack, with a card of puzzles and games, a scrapbook sheet to add to your scrapbook covers, and lots of stickers. There’s even a ‘ticket’ for seeing Big Ben.

These can all be added to the scrapbook as they like.

And the featured model itself!

These 3D puzzles are very clever. There are sheets of the different pieces to punch out, along with directions to put them all together.

Younger children will definitely need a bit of help, but the finished result is very impressive!

It will look great on a bookshelf! It was also very satisfying to build.

Our score: 8.0/ 10

This is a very nice start. The information card has a good amount of detail for children to understand, and the stickers and scrapbook are a nice little bit of creativity. I love the idea of a little souvenir in the balloon, and the magical self-inflating part added a lot of fun! As for the 3D model, this is definitely the favourite part. This box would be nice for any children who are interested in buildings, but I think it would really shine as material for home education. The activities end themselves to all kinds of expanded study and learning, and it would also be a great preliminary to a trip to London.
