The London Sock Company are a gift subscription service that, yes you’ve guessed it, are a London based company who offer a range of high-quality socks for stylish gentlemen. They have been in the sock business since 2013, and have been successfully growing ever since as a popular choice for those looking for a luxury gift for the gentleman in their life. Virtually everyone wears socks, so it’s very a practical and stylish choice!
To sign up to the London Sock Company, you simply purchase a gift card which lets you activate a subscription on their website. Depending on the value of the gift card, your recipient will be able to receive 1, 2 or 3 pairs of socks delivered straight to their door every month, with prices starting from £10. There is a minimum term involved for a subscription which is for 3 months, so for that option, you would receive 1 pair of socks every month for the next 3 months.
The London Sock Company have a wide range of luxury socks featuring an array of different designs and colours to choose from, or you can let the style team pick for you so that you receive a surprise in the post.
The socks arrive in a large brown envelope that fits nicely through the letterbox and are carefully wrapped in fine tissue paper inside. The presentation is really impressive and whoever receives them is sure to be instantly delighted!
For this month’s socks, I chose a pair from the Jacquard collection in the shade Jacquard Rose for my housemate Dan to try out. He wanted some brighter colours to liven up his boring sock drawer, so when I saw this design on the London Sock Company‘s website, I knew they would be perfect!
The Jacquard Collection is named after Joseph Marie Jacquard, the French inventor of the ground-breaking machine which creates the complex geometric patterns of these bold designs that you can see on the socks above. It’s a really striking and eye-catching pattern and the purple/pink base colour really makes these socks stand out amongst the crowd.
The socks are made from a finely knitted blend of Scottish Lisle Thread Cotton (62%) and Polyamide (38%), making them soft, yet durable. Dan says that they’re incredibly comfortable to wear and he loves the colour and design, so he’s onto a winner with the London Sock Company!
