Look Incredible are a popular online retailer who offer a monthly beauty subscription box with a big difference as they only send full-size products in their boxes. That’s right – no more tiny samples, just the proper full sizes! In addition to this, the brands that they include are all brands that they sell on their website, so there’s a huge range for them to choose from (makeup, skincare, haircare, body care etc), and most of the brands that they work with are also high-end or luxury.
They offer two subscription box options; a Standard version that comes in a black box which costs £18.99 (plus P&P) per month, or a Deluxe version that comes in a white box that’s priced at £35 per month (including P&P). Last month, I reviewed the Deluxe edition, and this month I’m going to show you the Standard version so that you can see the difference between the two. To be honest, both of them are excellent value for money!
Here are the contents of March’s Look Incredible Standard version beauty box:-Ilia Tinted Lip Conditioner in Arabian Knights (RRP £22)
It’s always a thrill when you receive a beauty box in the post, but it’s an even bigger thrill when you open it up to find a product that you’ve been eyeing up for a long time! I’m a huge fan of ILIA’s organic makeup range, and their lip products are amazing. I have a couple of them that I use all the time, and I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this particular shade ever since a friend recommended it to me last year. Arabian Knights is a beautiful sheer berry red that you can wear for just a wash of colour or you can build it up for a bolder look. The Lip Conditioner formula is wonderfully hydrating on the lips and it’s packed full of natural and organic ingredients. The cost of this product alone is worth more than the monthly Standard subscription box fee so we’re off to a good start already!Fusion Beauty Anti-Redness Primer (RRP £14.99)
I haven’t heard of this brand Fusion Beauty before, but this primer certainly looks interesting. It’s labelled as an ultra-gentle primer for sensitive skin that contains soothing peptides and mineral-rich algae extracts. The formula has been specially created to counteract any redness or irritation in the skin, helping to correct the overall colour of the skin, blur the appearance of pores and imperfections and keep makeup looking its best for longer. Colour-correcting products are very on-trend at the moment, and it’s great to see a green coloured primer that will cancel out any redness as my skin can often be quite sensitive. I’ve tried it twice since it arrived and it’s been doing a really good job so far!bareMinerals Eyeshadow Palette 4.0 in The Afterparty (RRP £25)
I love bareMinerals’ Foundations, and I’ve heard a lot of good things about these eyeshadow quads. This palette is called The Afterparty and it contains four eyeshadows in the shades Cheers (pale white silver), Mingle (light metallic silver), Rowdy (brown-toned taupe) and Lights Down (black-grey with silver glitter). All four shades are silky soft and feel buttery, plus they blend easily. The eyeshadow formula contains anti-aging benefits which is good to know as it has a SeaNutritive Mineral Complex along with antioxidants, cold-pressed borage oil, caffeine and cucumber extracts, to help reduce the look of puffiness and protect the delicate eye area. Ciate Velvet Manicure Set (RRP £9.99)
For nail art fans, there’s a Ciate Velvet Manicure set which looks like fun to try out. The kit contains everything that you need to create the ‘velvet’ trend based look and inside the pack is a full-size Ciate nail polish in the shade Cream Soda (a pretty pastel-esque grey). I don’t often try out many nail trends as I tend to stick with a plain colour, so this is something different for me to have a play with!
Spa Retreats Signature Softening Hand & Body Lotion (RRP £9.99)
This body lotion is from the brand Spa Retreats and it smells really lovely. It contains essential oils of Citrus, Neroli and Ylang Ylang so it’s very uplifting but very subtle at the same time – it’s not a scent that instantly hits you in the face! As well as smelling great, it also feels really good on the skin as it’s hydrating but not sticky or greasy. A new favourite product to apply after a shower or a bath!Max Factor CC Colour Corrector Stick (tester sample)
As an extra free sample this month, Look Incredible included a tester of the popular Max Factor CC Colour Corrector Sticks. This one’s for correcting dullness as it’s a light purple shade and really helps to brighten up a dull complexion in the areas that you apply it to.
With the overall value of March’s Look Incredible Standard version beauty box totalling £81.97, Look Incredible are by far one of the best value for money beauty boxes currently on the market. I can’t think of any other box that rivals them and I love how they include a lot more makeup products in their boxes (both in the Standard and Deluxe versions).
