Doucce Lip Stain in Holiday Getaway (worth £11.95)
Let’s start with the makeup items as I always love the inclusion of makeup within beauty subscription boxes. I love lip stains so I was interested to try this one. The ‘holiday getaway’ shade is the perfect summer coral shade which makes my skin look so much brighter but sadly it doesn’t help me teeth quite as much! Unfortunately, this item is one that I’m a little disappointed by as it is very difficult to get an even application and it is patchy as it wears off which is a shame as I like the shade.
BellaPeirre Heatwave Highlighter Palette (worth £22.99)
The next makeup item is a gorgeous highlighter palette from BellaPierre which is a brand that has been included within beauty subscription boxes for years. I don’t own many highlighter palettes so it’s a welcome addition to my summer makeup drawer. I love the lighter shades but the others are a little too bronzy for my ghostly pale skin. Although they could work nicely as eyeshadows.
Luxie 737 Tapered Highlighter Brush (worth £26.60)
One of my favourite items from the box has to be this super soft brush from Luxie. It is an ideal shape and size for highlighters or powders. I love the simple design, rose gold/copper details and the incredibly smooth, soft bristles. I’ve mainly been using this brush to apply my setting powder – love it!
James Reed 1 Hour Glow Face and Body Mask (worth £12.50)
Moving onto the bodycare and skincare products, the first being the James Reed mask which is an overnight gradual face and body tan. As I said, I’m ghostly pale so I tend to stay away from tanning products as I’m happy being pale but I think that it’s a perfectly themed addition to the heatwave box. I’ve heard great things about this brand!
Natura Herb Infused Sheet Mask (worth £4.95)
A vegan product within the box is a sheet mask from Natura. It contains herbs and vitamins to rebalance, brighten and hydrate the skin. I tried this mask as soon as I could and while I tend to prefer clay or cream masks, I did like this sheet mask! I feel as though it did leave my skin smoother and hydrated.
Rituals ‘The Rituals of Holi’ Body Cream (worth £6.90)
Last but not least is another favourite from a bodycare brand that I love, Rituals. The body cream contains flamingo flower and pink grapefruit. It claims to soften and condition the skin as well as being a quick-absorbing cream. It definitely absorbs quickly, it leaves my skin super smooth and soft and it smells heavenly. It has a very unique scent which I love!
