After the past few months of receiving the LookFantastic beauty boxes, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s one of my favourite beauty boxes and this months box is one of the best so far as I will use every single product, which is something you can’t say for all subscription boxes.
This box is one of my favourites for two reasons, the first is because I will use every single item included in the box and the second reason is because most of the items are makeup/cosmetic related which are the best products for beauty boxes, for me anyway.
Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara
I thought that the Jelly Pong Pong brand was no more but I’m glad to see it’s not as their products are cute and effective. I like the packaging and the fact that Jelly Pong Pong is a cruelty free brand! The mascara leaves my lashes fluttery and natural which is what I always go for but it does have one downside, it doesn’t hold a curl. However, I will get so much use out of this mascara and I think it’s a useful addition to this month’s box.
Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer
I use brow gels every time I apply my makeup as my brows are far too wild to not use one. I’ve tried a lot from various brands but my favourite so far is the Tweezerman Brow Mousse; However this brow gel is great especially if you don’t need that much hold or if you just want a clear brow gel. For me it isn’t quite enough but I think it would be effective for most people.
Trifle Cosmetics Liquid Glow
Another cruelty free brand which is fantastic and this brand is also vegan too which is great as I’m currently taking part in veganuary (are you?). The liquid luminizer/highlighter is a gorgeous glittery pink shade which I wasn’t expecting as it’s not really a typical highlighter shade but it works really well. On my very pale skin it is actually quite subtle, faintly shimmery and light pink which is great if you’re looking for a more natural highlighter.
The Vintage Company Tweezers
Probably the prettiest item in the box, these gorgeous rose gold tweezers in a cute floral box is a handy, fantastic addition to this months box which seems to have been themed around items that everyone might need or be running out of! I love the rose gold shade (obviously) and they’re really effective although to be honest, not as effective as my amazing tweezerman tweezers.
Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask
2017 needs to be the year that I consistently look after my hair with oils and masks, so this is a great item for me to receive. It’s sulphate, silicone and paraben free and it includes fantastic ingredients such as sweet almond oil, argan oil, vitamins and biotin to repair and reduce breakage. I haven’t tried it yet but I think it’s going to be great especially as it smells pretty amazing.
Nuxe Gentle Toning Lotion
I’ve tried a few products from Nuxe and I have loved all of them, especially the very effective reve de miel lip balm. This toning lotion is suitable for use on the face and eyes to remove makeup while smoothing and refreshing the skin. It has a lovely subtle scent and I can’t wait to try it.
