The first box of 2020 from Lookfantastic has arrived and it comes with a brand new look! I love the colour scheme and the new design of the January box. The theme for the month is ‘revive’ which is ideal for the start of a new year. There are seven items within the box which range from skincare, bodycare and makeup to skincare ‘tools’ and hair essentials.
Glov Reuseable Makeup Pads
Let’s start with one of my favourite items from the beauty box and it is fantastic for the environment too. It’s a pack of three reusable makeup pads from Glov. Not only are the pads washable and reusable but the packaging is biodegradable too. I’ve been using the fabric pads to remove my makeup for the past few days and I love them. They are similar to my beloved Makeup Eraser towel which I cannot recommend enough.
ECooking Moisturising Serum
The next skincare product is allergy certified, fragrance free and vegan! I have tried a couple of small samples from this brand previously and love each one so I know I will also like this serum. It is non-greasy and moisturising due to the plethora of hyaluronic acid within the serum.
Australian Bodycare Spot Stick
The final skincare item is one I haven’t tried before, it’s a roll on spot stick which contains tea tree oil to heal, cleanse and protect the skin. Tea tree is an effective essential oil, particularly for blemishes. I personally don’t experience blemishes very often but when I do, I think this product will be very handy.
Mama Mia Boob Tube+ Cream
I have been using the full sized version of this firming bust cream on and off for the past couple of years so I was happy to have a mini version. It’s a very effective firming, brightening and smoothing cream that provides great results, if you use the product consistently.
Lord and Berry Lip Liner in Nude
The only makeup item in the box is by Lord and Berry which is a common brand for beauty subscription boxes (I think it would be great to see even more well known and highstreet brands within beauty boxes). I haven’t tried the lip liner yet but I’ve liked their other lip products I’ve tried in the past.
Sebastian Professional Dark Oil Shampoo and Conditioner
I’ve been in need of a new shampoo and conditioner duo so this box arrived just in time! I haven’t tried anything from this brand but I’ve heard good things. Both products contain jojoba oil and argan oil to cleanse while adding softness and shine. I’ve only tried the duo once so far but they left my hair looking and feeling so much smoother and moisturised.
