You’ve seen the sneak peek of the LookFantastic July box, now it’s time of the full review! The theme for the July box is ‘pretty in paradise’ which is such a great theme for this time of the year with summer holidays just around the corner.
Let’s start with the two makeup products, the Hot Makeup Bronzing Powder which is a great addition to a summer box and it’s full sized! It does have visible golden shimmer within the powder but thankfully it isn’t very visible on the skin. In the pan the bronzer looks quite warm toned and maybe not great for my very pale skin but when used with a fluffy brush, it looks gorgeous! It adds a hint of warmth to the skin with a slight glow.
The final makeup item is the Jelly Pong Pong Bare Necessities Highlighting Pencil which in the mini booklet included in the box, states that the pencil can be used as a illuminator, concealer, base and liner. I doesn’t quite work for me as a highlighter/illuminator or concealer but it’s amazing as a liner on the lower waterline as it makes my eyes look brighter, less tired and bigger! It’s also great as an eyeshadow base.
Another favourite product from the July box, the Moroccan Oil Hydrating Styling Cream. Moroccan Oil is one of my favourite higher end haircare brands, I love their conditioners and the famous Moroccan Oil treatment oil. I’ve been using the hydrating cream on damp hair since I received the box and it really helps to smooth, moisturise and reduce frizz.
Next up, two of the more unconventional beauty box items, the Regenerate Enamel Science Toothpaste which is 14ml so it is a perfect size for travelling as is the hydrating cream, sun cream and highlighting pencil. The toothpaste helps to restore tooth enamel by restoring mineral content. The toothpaste is very thick and only has a slightly minty taste which is great as I personally don’t like very minty toothpaste and it doesn’t cause any sensitivity. I’ll definitely be taking this mini on holiday with me in the summer!
A liquid food supplement drink is an item I haven’t received in any beauty subscription box before and I think it’s an interesting addition although I don’t know if it’s suitable for vegetarians so I won’t be using it. The drink contains vitamin C and collagen in a mini 15ml bottle.
