The latest LookFantastic box arrived today and I was so excited by it’s contents that I had to share it immediately! The July box is themed around hydration and it contains six items from a range of brands. The brands include: Eyeko, Elemis, Aromatherapy Associates, Vitamasques, Glov and Naobay, most of which I’ve tried and liked previously. I love the colour of this months box as well as the theme of hydration. Aromatherapy Associates Revive Body Gel (worth £12, 40ml)
Let’s start with one of my immediate favourites from the box, the Aromatherapy Associates Body Gel which is a quick drying and invigorating moisturiser (almost). It claims to stimulate circulation, reduce fluid retention and leave the skin smooth and soft. It smells heavenly, as all Aromatherapy Associates products do! I love the gel texture which is ideal for the heatwave weather we’ve been having in the UK over the past week or so. I can confirm that it definitely leaves the skin feeling incredibly supple, soft and smooth. So far, so very good for the July LookFantastic box.
Elemis Hydra-Balance Day Cream (worth £19.10, 20ml)
Next up is another of my favourite higher end brands, Elemis. I haven’t tried any of their facial moisturiser before, I don’t think, so I was interested to see how my skin would react to this one. It claims to regulate oil production, lock in moisture and keep the complexion supple. I like the subtle scent, it absorbs quickly and it doesn’t irritate my normal/dry and sensitive skin. I also like the scent as well as the smooth lightweight texture which is perfect for the summer months.
Eyeko Fat Liquid Eyeliner – Black
The only makeup item in the box is from Eyeko, a subscription box staple brand. In the booklet that comes with the box, it says that the Eyeko product will be their ‘fat eye stick’ which is an eyeshadow crayon but I received their Fat Liquid Eyeliner instead. I’ve tried a few eyeliners and mascaras from Eyeko and liked all of them so I’m sure to like this one too.
VitaMasques Gold Eye Pads (worth £5.99)
Another skincare item but it is a little unique as it’s a pair of eye pads that are designed for tired, puffy eyes which sadly describe mine. The pads contain real gold extract and hyaluronic acid to plump and firm the skin. I haven’t tried these yet but they sound very promising.
Glov On The Go Hydro Cleanser (worth £11.99)
The penultimate item is one that has a bit of a confusing name but it’s also something that I love – cleanser-less cloths. I love the original Makeup Eraser cloth which can, as the name suggests, remove makeup with just water and this product has the same idea. The name is a bit confusing as it isn’t a cleanser, it is just a cloth that you add water to. I’ve used a few cloths like this so I’m very happy to have another to try. Additionally, it’s packaged in environmentally friendly packaging which is made of starch – that’s amazing!
NaoBay Illuminating Micellar Water (worth £11)
The final product is another skincare item which I am actually glad of this month after my sort out of my skincare collection. I love micellar waters but I typically only use the Bioderma version so it will be interesting to try this one to see how it compares. It contains green tea and aloe vera and claims to purify, cleanse and protect against environmental damage. I love the packaging and I can’t wait to try it out.
