The theme for the June LookFantastic box is Wanderlust and I have to say that the box design this month is just beautiful and I’ll definitely be keeping it to store excess beauty products or tealights in!
The June LookFantastic box is filled with six items, all of which are a fantastic size and would be perfect sizes to take with you on your summer holidays. The brands range from Model Co, Monu Skincare, Balance Me and Bellapierre to higher end brands such as First Aid Beauty and Kerastase, the latter of which I love.
Let’s start with the first makeup item in the June box, the Hailey Baldwin for Model Co Super Lips Lipgloss which is a ‘hydrating lipgloss’ with a ‘high shine finish with the longevity of a long lasting lipstick’. It’s sounds amazing! I think there’s only one shade (Biz) that you can receive and it’s a gorgeous my-lips-but-better shade that is so wearable. I’m usually not a fan of lipgloss but this shade is so pretty, I love the very glossy finish and it’s comfortable to wear. The longevity, while it isn’t lipstick level, is very good for a lipgloss.
The second and final makeup item is a shimmer highlighter from BellaPierre Cosmetics which is a brand that pops up a lot in beauty boxes but sadly I’ve never been that keen or impressed with their offerings. Sadly the same is the case for this highlighter as even though it is very pretty, it’s just too glittery for me personally. Although it might be great for a festival or even used as an eyeshadow or nail polish topper!
There’s one haircare product in the June ‘wanderlust’ box and I can’t wait to try it as it is from one of my favourite high end haircare brands, Kerastase. I didn’t know that they made smaller sizes like this but I love it, I will definitely be taking it on holiday with me in the summer. There were at least two shampoo options you could have received and I received the ‘resistance’ shampoo which is designed to strengthen brittle, dry and damaged hair which is perfect for my hair.
Let’s move onto the skincare in the box and there are three this month from Monu, First Aid Beauty and Balance Me. Let’s start in the order you would use them. The First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads claim to brighten, exfoliate and tone the skin and they are meant to be used after cleansing. I’ve tried them already and sadly on the more sensitive areas of my skin, they did irritate slightly so I won’t be using them but thanks to this box I now know that maybe this brand or at least this product isn’t for me without spending the money on the full sized item.
It’s all uphill in terms of skincare from now on as I loved both of the other two items in the box. I’ve tried a couple of products from Monu Skincare already and I love facial mists in the summer so this product is perfect. The Monu Rosewood Reviving Mist has been wonderful to use in the humid weather we have been having recently as it’s so refreshing, it smells lovely and it hydrates the skin too.
The final item in the box is the Balance Me Balancing Face Moisturiser. I’ve tried a few of their products already as they are usually included in beauty boxes or with magazines and I’ve liked all of the as they are quietly effective and they don’t irritate my skin – win, win. This facial moisturiser is 99% natural, it’s a great size to travel with and it leaves my skin moisturised, smooth and soft.
