The June LookFantastic box has arrived and it’s a little different in terms of its box design. The theme for the June box is ‘around the world’ which is a great theme idea and one that is ideal for this time of the year with summer around the corner. The box contains six items, most of which are mini sizes, from a range of brands. The brand vary from Bumble and Bumble, SVR and Korres to Filorga and ECooking.
Bioeffect EGF Serum
The first skincare item is a mini from Bioeffect which is an Icelandic brand I haven’t tried before. It contains EGF, a plant based replica of a naturally occurring protein found in humans, which acts as an anti-ageing treatment. It is vegan and the mini version is so adorable. The serum absorbs quickly, it leaves the skin feeling very smooth and soft. Serums are such an integral part of my skincare routine, there I’ve tried quite a few and this one is worth checking out.
Filorga Lift Structure Cream
Another skincare mini is an anti-ageing cream that would be ideal to use alongside the serum. The ultra-lifting cream contains collagen and hyaluronic acid, the latter is perfect for those with dry skin. It’s such a rich, thick cream that leaves my skin feeling very smooth, moisturised and nourished.
Korres Olive Soap
The only full sized body care item in the box is the Korres traditional olive soap which smells incredible. I adore the scent, the packaging and the brand, Korres, which has been a favourite of mine for the past few years. I’ve tried their body care and skincare, both of which I cannot recommend enough so I’m very happy to use another of their products.
Additionally, I always tend to forgot to mention that the boxes always come beautifully packaged and contain the latest issue of Elle UK magazine within them, along with the products. I do flick through the magazine, although now I always consume any beauty news or reviews online rather than in print form.
SVR Dry and Sensitive Eyelid Cream
One of my favourite products from the box has to be this gorgeous French eye cream from a brand I haven’t tried before. The French skincare brands I’ve tried have all been incredible, ideal for my sensitive skin and surprisingly affordable and this one is no different. The eye cream is very moisturising and smoothing but it isn’t a heavy cream and thankfully it absorbs very quickly. I have very sensitive eyes due to previously having countless eczema flareups and this cream doesn’t irritate my skin at all.
ECooking Peeling Mask
The final skincare item is the peeling mask from the vegan brand ECooking which is a danish brand I haven’t ever heard of. It contains AHAs (typically fruit acids but they can be synthetic too) such as lactic acid, salicylic acid and glycolic acid. I haven’t tried this mask yet but it sounds promising and it’s vegan!
Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray
Last but not least is an item I’m SO grateful is in the box as it’s a product I have wanted to try for years! The Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray is such a famous product at this point and I should have tried it sooner but I’m glad I now have a mini version to test out. You could have either received this surf spray or the thickening spray. I haven’t tried the spray yet but I cannot wait to test out it out very soon.
