Unfortunately the May LookFantastic box sold out so I’m not able to review it; therefore today’s review is all about the June 2020 beauty box. You can currently pre-order the fantastic June box. The June box is a little different to the regular boxes for a couple of reasons. The first is that there isn’t the usual magazine included. However it will be emailed to everyone so you’re not missing out. The second difference is the box is replaced with an exclusive reusable zip-up bag which would be great for travelling (if we could travel anywhere).
Polaar SPF 50 Sun Lotion
Let’s start with the products in the June box which are ideal for the lovely sunny weather we’ve been enjoying in the UK over the past couple of months. The first is an SPF lotion from Polaar which is a brand that has been included in previous LookFantastic boxes (I love their hand creams). The lotion doesn’t have a scent, it doesn’t feel greasy on the skin and it’s a great 20ml trial or travel size.
UltraSun SPF 30 Lip Care
The final SPF product is a lip balm from UltraSun which contains UVA and UVB protection. I used to use lip balms constantly but I’ve fallen out of the habit but this one is a great everyday, basic lip balm which the added benefit of sun protection.
Molton Brown Coastal Cypress and Sea Fennel Shower Gel
Molton Brown is one of my all time favourite luxury bath and body care brands so I’m always happy to receive more of their products. I have tried many of their scents but I don’t think I’ve tried the cypress and sea fennel scent until now. The scent is very fresh but masculine which is a combination that I love.
Josh Wood Colour Everything Mask
Next up is a haircare mask from Josh Wood Colour. I’ve only tried the tinted dry shampoo from this brand before and I was impressed overall so I am interested to try another item from Josh Wood Colour. The mask claims to be ‘colour-locking and deep conditioning’ which is something my hair definitely needs.
Shangpree Aroma Blend Calming Mask
I have received many sheet masks in various subscription boxes but I’ve rarely used them as they don’t tend to fit my face shape very well. However, I have been using them more and more during lockdown. I adored the Starskin Camellia mask from the amazing April 2020 LookFantastic box and it changed my mind about sheet masks. I haven’t tried this one yet but I can’t wait to give it a go.
Glov Hair Brush
Last but not least is a detangling hair brush that again would be ideal for travelling, a weekend away or a day at the beach to tame unruly locks. I use detangling brushes exclusively as my hair can be extremely frizzy and tangled. I’m always happy to try another!
