Mask Time are a fantastic sheet mask subscription service that offers two types of boxes to suit different needs and budgets. The Glow Setter Box is the biggest one (read my review here), and the one that I have below is called the Glow Starter Box.
Designed for K-Beauty newbies, it contains four masks and focuses on essential skin issues and getting that coveted glow. It costs just £9.95 and is a great way to try out some authentic Korean beauty brands.
July’s Glow Starter box is all about masks that will get your skin glowing and gorgeous for the rest of Summer – here’s what I found inside!
Esfolio Volcanic Ash Essence Mask (RRP £3)
First up, we have a curiously named Volcanic Ash Essence Mask from Esfolio. This clarifying sheet mask contains actual Volcanic Ash which helps to draw out impurities, remove dirt from clogged pores and deep clean the skin. It also has Ginseng and Portulaca Oleracea in the formula to smooth, brighten and improve elasticity. Free from a big range of nasties such as Mineral Oil, Silicones, Sulfates, TEA, Alcohol, Triclosan, PEG, MIT, Talc, Formaldehyde and Coal Tar, this mask is safe for all skin types, including sensitive, to use.
Royal Skin Real Mud Mask (RRP £3)
This next mask is made from 100% Boryeong Mud which is known for its purifying, cleansing and anti-ageing effects. Being rich in natural minerals, it instantly soothes stressed skin, leaving it feeling much softer and smoother. There’s also Collagen essence included to help tighten and firm, so this is a great mask to use before a party or special occasion.
Ponybrown Plus Skin Hue Clearing Black Mask (RRP £3.50)
How cute is the packaging of this one? Infused with a powerful complex blend of seven natural ingredients that are derived from roots, leaves and flowers, this mask has 23ml of essence and delivers a moisturising, soothing, brightening and purifying effect to the skin. It’s also anti-irritating, so sensitive skin types can happily use it without any worries.
Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask Pore Tightening (RRP £4.80)
Next up, there’s a mask from Too Cool For School. Free from parabens, sulfates and phthalates, this mask is a variation of the popular original Egg Cream Mask, and instead targets oily skin and enlarged pores. It has an ultra-soft sheet material which is made from microfibre and is infused with Egg White and Vinegar extracts to diminish the look of large pores and clarify the skin.
Urban Dollkiss Urban City Carbonated Bubble Charcoal Mask (RRP £14.99)
As a special bonus item, you’ll also receive a full-size Urban Dollkiss Urban City Carbonated Bubble Charcoal Mask which is worth more than the box itself – how amazing is that?! This mask utilises the natural purifying powers of Charcoal and to create a formula which bubbles up and draws out dirt from deep within the pores, leaving the skin feeling the cleanest it’s ever been. It’s also free from nasties such as parabens, artificial dyes, mineral oil and benzophenone-5.
