With mothers day coming up, if you’re looking for a quirky subscription box gift, why not check out Monthly Funky Socks? We all wear socks (well I think so anyway!), and they are one of those useful and practical everyday items that you can never have enough of. What I really love about Monthly Funky Socks though, is that they truly live up to their name and specialise in delivering unique and colourful socks to your door every month – how cool is that?!
Their socks are unisex and you can, of course, choose your size, but the designs that you receive will be a surprise every month which keeps things really fun and creative. They offer a range of subscription deals so you can decide how many socks you’d like to have delivered every month with options from 1 pair starting at £9, to 4 pairs for £33. They’re certainly not cheap, but the quality is definitely there and the socks are guaranteed to be made from 80% minimum combed cotton. Monthly Funky Socks work with lots of different brands, all of which are high quality, and they post their boxes of socks to destinations all over the world.
I was happy to receive a box from Monthly Funky Socks to try out, which came in a cute polka dot design, with a branded sticker on the top – neat! Inside the box, I discovered three pairs of socks, each one from a different brand, and they were all bright and colourful designs. Let’s take a closer look!
The first pair are from a brand called Ballonet and feature a bright striped design with blue, black, white, yellow, red and pink stripes. They’re made from 85% combed cotton, 13% polyamide and 2% elastane, which makes them feel soft and super comfortable to wear, with a good amount of stretch. I don’t often wear striped socks but these are definitely growing on me!
The second pair appear to be from Monthly Funky Socks‘ own-brand range, but the quality of them feels almost as good as the Ballonet pair. Made from 80% combed cotton, 17% polyamide and 3% spandex, they are slightly thinner and have more stretch to them, but they still feel comfortable and soft. I love this colourful polka dot design!
My favourite of the three in this box are this amazing bright and colourful pair from Swedish brand, Happy Socks. They feel the best quality of the three and are made from 86% combed cotton, 12% polyamide and 2% elastane. These ones are a little bit thicker and are crazy soft – really nice and snuggly for winter! The design on these socks is insane – they remind me of something from a dance festival and have definitely livened up my boring sock drawer!
