My Geek Box – October 2019

My Geek Box is exactly as it sounds – a box of geeky stuff! There’s no theme or menu, you simply get a selection of items from a huge assortment of geeky franchises.
It costs from £19.99 a month, including postage.
Like last month, it was a big shipping box but with a lot of padding inside. The items aren’t huge but it’s a bit of a water of packaging.
The contents start out well though.
This month’s t-shirt features Optimus Prime of the Transformers.
It’s a pretty cool design, a bit like a diagram. It’s also 100% cotton, which I think is really important!
Next, two DC Comics Lil Bombshells Series 3 figures. They are little plastic figures in a tin, you get one in each of a possible twelve. They’re quite fun, and I like the tin, and they also seem not to be easily available in the UK.
Things are now getting dodgy.
This is a Fallout Nuka Gold Enamel Pin. It’s nice, but unfortunately this exact pin (with another design) was in September’s box.
Finally, tow books from the Star Trek Graphic Novel Collection.
These are number 7 and 8 in the collection.
For context, the August box contained numbers 3 and 4 from this series, and the September box contained numbers 5 and 6.

Our score: 6.4/ 10

I have to say I'm very disappointed this month. The t-shirt is nice, but two figures from the same series is dodgy (the DC Comics tins) as are yet more Star Trek books. And having the same item two months in a row is not good at all. I can only assume there has been some kind of disruption at Geek Box HQ, as the last couple of months have been noticeably poorer than before. Usually this box is excellent value, but they're really stumbled here.
