Myvitamins are one of the leading online retailers for health supplements and vitamins in the UK and they also offer a monthly Snackbox which is packed full of vitamins, supplements, healthy snacks, high protein foods, whole foods and superfoods. It’s one of the best health related boxes that I’ve come across and is a great way to try out a range of different products every month.
The contents of the Myvitamins Snackbox are always worth around £35, so it’s also fantastic value for money as subscription fees start from as low as £12.99 depending on how long you sign up for. I always look forward to it arriving every month as it helps keep me on the healthy track!
August’s box was another jam-packed box of healthy treats and contained all of the following products:-
2 x Nakd Bars in Strawberry Crunch and Lemon Drizzle
I love Nakd bars and always have a couple of them either in my handbag or in my kitchen for when I get hungry and need something healthy to nibble on. They’re gluten, wheat and dairy free, contain no added sugar and count as 1 of your 5 a day. Nakd do lots of different flavours of these bars and I found Strawberry Crunch and Lemon Drizzle inside this box. Strawberry Crunch contains little Soya based crispies to add a little crunchy texture to the bar, and Lemon Drizzle just tastes amazing – like a healthier version of the cake! I absolutely love these!
Beefit Biltong
I passed this onto one of my housemates as I’m a vegetarian, but he enjoyed this Beefit Biltong! Made from natural ingredients and 100% prime, air-dried seasoned beef, this bag of traditional biltong is low in sugar, gluten-free and contains up to 61% protein, making it an ideal post-workout snack to reach for.
Myvitamins Coconut Oil (30 capsules)
I use Coconut Oil a lot in my daily life as I cook with it and often use it as an intensive hair mask (it’s amazing for dry hair!), but this is the first time that I’ve tried taking it as a supplement. Each of these capsules contains 1000mg of high quality, pure, natural and sugar-free Coconut Oil which is packed full of useful fatty acids that help to improve the appearance of skin, hair and nails.
Myvitamins One For All (90 tablets)
These One For All supplements are a one-a-day multivitamin which contains seven of your daily essentials; Vitamin C, Niacin, Vitamin E, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Vitamin A, and Vitamin D3, all wrapped up in one easy to swallow tablet. These daily essential vitamins help to support normal energy levels and a healthy metabolism and also keep your immune system functioning properly, so it’s a great all rounder to take.
2 x Trek Cocoa Oat Protein Flapjacks
For a post-workout snack or if you missed breakfast and need something to eat on the go, these Protein Flapjacks from Trek are ideal. They’re gluten free, suitable for vegans and contain 9g of protein in each flapjack. These ones are in the Cocoa Oat flavour which is delicious!
Snact Apple and Raspberry Fruit Jerky
I was pleased to see this snack bag of fruit jerky in the box as I couldn’t eat the beef biltong, so it was great that they also included a vegetarian/vegan option! Snact are an ethical food company who purchase ‘ugly’ fruit that would otherwise be rejected from supermarkets and save it from going to waste by turning it into yummy fruit jerky instead. It’s made from 100% fruit with nothing else added and is a fab little snack to have in your lunchbox or work desk drawer.
Myvitamins Organic Chia Seeds
At the bottom of the box was a huge bag of Organic Chia Seeds which I was very happy with as I’d recently run out of these at home! Chia Seeds are a popular superfood that’s high in fibre, rich in Omega 3 and contains a source of protein. You can use them in so many different ways from chia seed puddings to sprinkling them onto salads and soups, so they’re worthy addition to anyone’s kitchen cupboard.
2 x Deliciously Ella Energy Balls in Cashew & Ginger and Coconut & Oat
Energy balls are hugely popular at the moment and I’ve tried a couple of flavours of these from Deliciously Ella. They have a similar raw fruit and nut texture as the Nakd Bars, but are shaped into a ball and feel that bit more substantial as a healthy snack. These ones are free from gluten, dairy and refined sugar, and are suitable for vegans. I enjoyed trying out both of the flavours, but the Cashew & Ginger was my fave!
