Nomakenolife contains 8 – 9 items of cosmetic, hair, and skincare products from both Japan and Korea, two places which are very serious about their beauty products.
They have one-, three-, six-, and 12-month subscriptions costing from $35 (around £27) for one month (longer subscriptions are cheaper). Shipping is free.
What a great theme for a summer cosmetics box, Ready, Set, Glow!

The menu booklet gives you a full list of every item in the box, as well as some top tips for use.
It also tells you which items are from Korea or Japan. There’s also a featured item, but I’ll show that in a bit!
I’m fascinated by this first product, Evenlip Spout Pouch Snail Essential Cream. Snail mucous (I know it sounds weird!) is huge in the skincare work right now, apparently it is wonderful for fine lines and combating dry skin.
The only issue I have is that I’m allergic to molluscs, and I can’t discover if it means that this would be unsafe to put on my skin. I’m really sad about that, because I’ve heard amazing things about this stuff, it comes highly recommended by all kinds of skincare experts.
On to Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher. This is quite a small compact, but it’s highly pigmented! It comes with a little powder puff, but I think it’s actually better to apply it with a brush to give you more control, it’s quite easy to apply too much. The small size makes it very convenient for travel or handbag use too.
This Toly Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar is super cute! It’s one of four little bunnies, and is a kind of cross between a lip tint and a lip balm. It gives you a little bit of shine and colour while keeping your lips nice and moisturised, and it’s nice and subtle for sunny days. It’s also incredibly adorable!
To complement the lip gloss, this is a Choosy Moist Lip Pack. A mask just for your lips sounds funny, but they actually work really well. It’s not like a regular face mask, instead it’s thicker and very moist, and is in the shape of a pair of lips. You need to leave it on for a little while, so no eating or drinking, but these really do work extremely well. I think they are actually best in the winter time when lips get easily chapped and dry, but they’re also very useful on a plane, which can be very dehydrating. So perhaps if you’re flying off somewhere fabulous this summer you can pop this is your hand luggage!
This is a Momo Uru-Hada Awapeccino foaming tool & cleansing powder set, and is this month’s featured item. It comes with two packages of enzyme cleansing powder.
The idea is that you mix the powder with water and then use the tool, which is a bit like a hand pump, to create the foam to wash with.
Now, I love foaming cleansers because they are lovely and gentle, and the cleanser itself is very nice, but I’m really not a fan of this. I think it’s kind of necessary to have all that plastic to make foam, when most foaming cleansers foam very well just by rubbing your hands together. So full marks for the cleanser, but I think the tool is a bit of a gimmick.
Summer evenings need sparkle, and this Aurora eye and lip topper is a lovely addition to your cosmetic collection! It’s a glittery powder that you can apply to eyelids or lips to give you a lovely iridescent shimmer.
Here’s another facewash, a Deve Foaming Facial Cleanser. My Rose version is one of four different ones available, and is especially good for dry skin. It has a lovely scent too! I love Japanese foaming facewash, it’s always incredibly gentle but effective, and you hardly need any at all so it lasts for ages.
Finally, a yummy Choco Mint Sheet Mask! I love these masks, they smell delicious, and they are very soothing. Plus this mint variety is the perfect complement to the lip mask!
