Shibuya is a fantastic shopping and fashion district in Tokyo, where you can find amazing clothes, cosmetics, and every fashionable look you can think of, so this month nomakenolife is celebrating the district with the Shibuya Shimmer box.
The menu booklet tells you all about each item, including usage guides, which are very useful if the instructions are in Japanese! You can also pick up fun tidbits about fashions and makeup in Japan.
Mote Mascara, MISSHA Glitter Prism Marble Shadow, Witch’s Pouch Gem Glitter Gloss, Crayon Touch-Me Metallic Eyeliner
The plainest of this month’s cosmetics, this mascara is still pretty special. It’s a lovely natural brown colour, plus its special formulation means it is waterproof but can be removed with hot water.
The eyeshadow is really cool – it’s a wonderful marbled colour which gives an unique look every time. It’s also lovely and shiny and gives a really fun glittery pop, or you can make it as subtle or wild as you like.
Shimmery lip coatings are always a useful look, and this lip gloss can be used alone or over lipstick for extra sparkle.
The eyeliner pencil has a shiny finish, and is a soft pencil which is great for details and control.
A’pieu Madecassoside Gauze Mask, Choosy Lip Pack, ST Oil Beauty Mask
Three masks this month! The gauze mask is wonderfully thin so clings to every part of the face, and is super boosted for moisturised skin.
Lip Masks are incredibly useful, even if they look quite funny on! It’s a mouth-shaped gel sheet that even has a little pearly shimmer, and is perfect for treating and plumping dry lips and as a base for lipstick.
The oil mask contains five separate masks, which is a real bonus. The oil acts as a cleanser, serum, toner, and skin milk, and is a fantastic way to treat your skin (five times!) to recover from the colder weather and get ready for a summer shimmer.
Desk/Makeup Stand
This might look more like a pencil stand, and indeed that’s what it’s technically sold as, but apparently these have become very popular in Japan for storing makeup! The angled pots make it easy to see and retrieve brushes, pencils, or whatever you like.
