New stationary is always a lovely treat, and Papergang is a great way to increase your stash of lovely paper and stationery items! Papergang works with a different artist each month to produce a range of items featuring their work. A monthly subscription costs £10.95 + 2.95 p+p.
There’s a sleeve on every box, which shows you the pattern for this month’s selection. This is a cool dinosaur design.
On the reverse of the sleeve is a little cutout to create.
The contents come wrapped in tissue paper.
Here’s the menu booklet. It gives you a list of the contents, plus RRPs, and also tells you about the featured artist.
This month’s artist is the winner of a competition design a Papergang box!
Here is the A4 Desk Pad. I don’t know exactly how many sheets are in the pad, but each sheet is for a week, and there are plenty! There are four organization sections, perfect for keeping track of what’s going on in your week. The design is also lovely, really well laid out, with the pattern in the background plus the dinosaurs overlapping a little.
A cute Enamel Pin. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be a dinosaur eating pizza, or a fire-breathing dragon, but either way it’s super-cute.
My only reservation about the pin is that it has one of those rubber stoppers on the back rather than a badge-type fastening.
To go with the desk pad, here’s a Coaster to put your tea on! It’s properly thick and good quality.
A sheet of Giftwrap with the full cool design. It’s around A2 size, so good for a reasonably-sized gift. It’s also made from recycled paper, and feels like very nice quality paper.
Finally, a birthday card with a very appropriate message! There’s also a calendar sheet, which is always included in every box.
I think this is one my favourite Papergang boxes ever! The dinosaur design is wonderfully colourful, and there is great character in the dinos themselves. As a rule I dislike pink things because I’m not at all girly, but somehow this manages to make pink look cool!
I adore the pin design, but I’m a little disappointed about the fastening. Cute enamel pins are wonderful to have, but I find that this kind of fastening is not secure, I’ve lost several of this type so I don’t like to wear them any more.
The wrapping paper is also lovely! I know it’s necessary to fold it in a box like this, but I really wish it didn’t mean that you could see the creases! But never mind, it’s so lovely.
The desk pad is really handy, I love writing things down as I go so it’s a really handy thing to have to hand on my desk.
My favorite item is actually the coaster! It’s really sturdy and great quality, and will help me avoid leaving drink rings everywhere!
The design itself is wonderful, plenty of detail which is is interesting to look at, but it’s not overwhelming. It’s complementary without be overly repetitive, and it’s used across the different items in a really thoughtful way.
This is another of the pages in the menu booklet, and the middle quote on the right caught my eye. It essentially says to be careful about how you use your design across different items. I think this is something that Papergang sometimes gets wrong, so I’m so delighted this this month Papergang have absolutely got it right! A fantastic design and beautifully and thoughtfully designed items!
