PawshBox is a new monthly subscription box that I’ve recently been introduced to and if you’ve been following my reviews on this website, you’ll know that my pet Toby loves his doggy boxes!
With PawshBox, you can expect to receive 5 or more dog treats, toys and accessories and you have an option to purchase the box every month for £19.99 or as a one-off box for £23.99. The contents of each box are guaranteed to be worth over £40 so you make a really good saving, and the postage is always free.
I was very excited to see what PawshBox looked like and I was not disappointed when it arrived! Packaged in a plain box with a logo sticker, all of the contents were carefully packaged up inside underneath bright pink tissue paper. This month’s box has a theme of ‘Natural Dog Treats & Toys’ so let’s see what’s inside, shall we?
Beef Head Meat & Porky Bites
The first two bags that I pulled out of the box were these large pouches. On the left is Beef Head Meat which is a long-lasting natural chew that’s high protein, low odour, gluten-free and grain-free with no additives or preservatives, and on the right are Porky Bites which look very similar to pieces of pig ears that you see regularly in pet shops these days. Toby enjoyed both of these and being a big dog, the Beef Head Meat was his favourite!
Chicken Feet & Premium Chicken Sausages
Next, we have two more bags of natural dog treats. They may look a little scary but the large bag of Chicken Feet are a really good source of glucosamine for your dog (great for joint pain and if they’re older like Toby is), and they’re also grain and gluten-free, with no additives or preservatives. The second smaller bag is packed full of Premium Chicken Sausages which are great chunky and chewy snacks to treat your dog to.
Fish Skin Cubes
The fifth and final bag of natural dog treats this month are a packet of Fish Skin Cubes which are made from 100% Whitefish. They’re hypoallergenic and gluten-free, as well as being low fat. They’re also ethically and sustainably sourced which is so important these days when you’re purchasing fish products. Naturally, these are very fishy smelling but Toby loves them and he eats them so fast that you hardly notice anyway!
Buffalo Horn
For a super long-lasting and natural treat, you can’t beat this massive Buffalo Horn. I’ve seen things like antlers in the pet shops before, but never a buffalo horn so it was quite the novelty to find it in the box!
I wasn’t sure if Toby was going to do anything with this as it doesn’t have a scent or anything, but he straight away took it to his bed and began gnawing at it for at least an hour until he was too tired to continue! He’s been guarding it and chewing bits of it ever since it arrived.
Green & Wilds Eco Dog Toys – Bone Buddy
It can be difficult to find eco-friendly dog toys as so many are made of plastic or plastic-derived rubber materials so I was very happy to discover this brand called Green & Wilds who make eco-friendly dog toys. This large bone-shaped toy is a Bone Buddy made from 100% biodegradable jute which is a natural plant fibre that’s a renewable and recyclable material and is covered in soft suede, a by-product of the meat industry so nothing is wasted. There are also no added compounds so you don’t have to worry about your dog absorbing any strange chemicals whilst he chews it.
This toy feels pretty robust and strong and Toby has yet to chew through it which is a good sign!
Eco-friendly Rope Toy
The last product in this month’s PawshBox is another toy, this time an eco-friendly Rope Toy which is another large size for Toby to play tug of war with.
