The Pip Box launched earlier this year and it’s been a pleasure to see the company go from strength to strength. Everything in The Pip Box is cruelty-free which makes it a must-have for any beauty fan, and it takes a lot of the hassle out of shopping when you know that it’s all been checked and verified for you.
Thanks to the cruelty-free standpoint, many of the products in this monthly box are also natural, vegan and/or organic, and The Pip Box does a great job of working with lots of smaller, independent companies too, so it’s always exciting getting to try something new and different for a change.
October’s box recently arrived and I’ve been enjoying trying out the products, which is a great mix of makeup and skincare to see you through the seasonal changes. Here’s what I found inside!
Guiltless Skin Organic Face Oil (full size, RRP £18)
Guiltless Skin are an independent company based in England who specialise in organic skincare. I’ve seen a few of their products pop up on Instagram recently, so I’m happy to have the opportunity to try out one of their bestsellers. This Organic Face Oil is formulated with a blend of cold-pressed organic oils including Moringa, Rosehip, Argan, Jojoba, Grapeseed and Safflower. It doesn’t have any noticeable scent to it, is certified vegan and is free from mineral oils, alcohol, silicones, artificial colours, fragrances and parabens. I’ve been using this before going to bed and it sinks into the skin beautifully, leaving it soft and smooth come the morning. A lovely find!
Cougar Beauty Mineral Eyeshadow & Double-Ended Eyeshadow Brush (RRP £3.99)
Next up, I found a loose Mineral Eyeshadow from Cougar Beauty which is made from all natural ingredients and free from harmful chemicals. There are a range of colours available this month and I received a gorgeous bronze shade which has a beautiful fine metallic shimmer to it – perfect for upcoming Christmas parties! Also included was a Double-Ended Eyeshadow Brush to apply it with.
Figs & Rouge Pro-Acneal Purifying Cleansing Facial Wash (full size, RRP £16)
I love trying new cleansers and this one from Figs & Rouge is brilliant for my oily/combination skin type. It contains an anti-inflammatory and detoxifying formula to help eliminate skin impurities, unclog pores and reduces blemishes and breakouts. I really like how it balances excess oil, but doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or stripped after cleansing. A great morning facial wash!
Itha Organic Lip Glow in Happy (full size, RRP £4.50)
I haven’t heard of this brand before, but you can never have enough lip balm in your life! Seriously, I have a tube in every coat pocket, handbag and drawer! This is a brand new release for Itha, and their Organic Lip Glow in Happy is a wonderfully nourishing and hydrating lip balm that’s packed full of skin friendly ingredients such as Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E. A must-try if you have dry or chapped lips, and it’s arrived just in time for the colder weather ahead.
HJ Manicure Non-Toxic Nail Polish (full size, RRP £10.50)
The last product that I found in this month’s box was a full size nail polish from the brand HJ Manicure, another one that are new to me. This has a 5-free formula and delivers a long lasting shine for a professional manicure in the comfort of your own home. I received the shade Vamp which is a stunning dark berry red – I love it!
