Last month saw the launch of Scent From, and I was really impressed with their first box. This monthly candle based subscription service is sent from the well known online retailer IWOOT.com (short for I Want One Of Those). Scent From is quite a unique concept in the huge subscription box market as it focuses on high-quality home fragrance and lifestyle products which are centred around a different travel destination every month. All of the contents are a surprise, but you’re guaranteed to receive one hero candle, one home/lifestyle accessory, as well as some smaller items, so it represents good value for money as you’ll always receive more than what you pay for the box itself.
November’s Scent From theme is Stockholm, a European city that’s high up on my list of places that I’d like to travel to in the near future. Scent From have described the city beautifully:-
“Stockholm is steeped in sensuous potential; a marvellous mix of museums and modernity, of cobbled streets and fantastic facades, of pine trees and pastries and evenings by the hearth. The Swedish word ‘mysa‘ embodies what we’ve tried to capture this month: that feeling of warmth and cosiness we look forward to sharing with friends and family as winter nights drawn in.”
How cosy does that sound?! Let’s see what’s inside the box:-
Hero Candle – Scent From Stockholm – Oak & Bergamot
The hero candle is a Limited Edition and bespoke tin candle which features 100% soy wax that has been hand poured in the UK. When I opened the lid, I was hit with a gorgeous woody and citrusy fragrance, and it’s definitely one that’s perfect for burning on Winter evenings. It’s also a decent sized candle at 300g and will burn for around 40 hours. I love the packaging of these hero candles too!Shearer Candle Tin – Cranberry & Ginger
I enjoyed burning the Shearer Candle from last month’s box, so I was very pleased to see another one included in this month’s edition. This is a lovely fruity and fiery blend of Ginger & Cranberry, that’s very festive and reminds me of Christmas markets. Really good scent throw as well as it easily fragrances my living room within 20 minutes of lighting it. This one will burn for 20 hours.Jones ‘Wish Upon A Star Glass’ Sign
I was curious to find out what this was when I saw a bubble wrapped bundle within the box and I was delighted to unwrap this pretty glass sign from Jones. With its on-trend copper frame and rustic rope hanging detail, this is a lovely sign to put up anywhere around the home to add a touch of warmth and festive cheer for the holiday season.Flamingo Candles Golden Woodlands Scent Melt
Unfortunately, I don’t own an oil burner so I haven’t been able to properly test this out before writing up this review, but I can say that it smells wonderful! I’ve bought candles from Flamingo in the past and they have some amazing scent combinations. This soy wax melt is fragranced with ‘Golden Woodlands’ which is earthy, warming and perfect for Autumn/Winter. Kikkerland Copper String Lights
I love fairy lights and I’ve seen these copper ones in lots of shops recently. These ones are by Kikkerland and have 20 small but bright LED lights on 6ft of copper string. You can use them anywhere indoors and the copper string is nice and bendy so they’re easy to wrap around items or drape over desks and tables. They’re very pretty and I’m happy to finally have some of these at home!
This month’s Scent From is even better, in my opinion, than their launch box, and is an easy and affordable way to add some light, fragrance and decoration to your home this Winter.
