If you’re busy and don’t have time to prepare and make delicious, healthy meals at home to a gourmet level… then this is the box for you!
Gousto provides ingredients of very high quality with Social Association certified organic herbs, fruit and vegetables. They also only source British meat with the stamp from Red Tractor, this guarantees that their meat has been reared in Britain in accordance to animal welfare guidelines. 95% of all materials are also recyclable and they only use renewables resources – Their vision and principles ensure me that I will receive only the best ingredients for me and my family, which I love!
When comparing to other food subscription boxes Gousto are not only cheaper compared to most but also offer choice of recipes, which are very imaginative, delicious looking and hard to just narrow them down to just 3! After a lot of hum’ing and har’ing I finally narrowed it down to 3 tasty recipes that my husband and I would love to try.
We chose:
- Cumberland sausage casserole with mash potato
- Steak with chimichurri and potato chips
- Posh burgers with rosemary chips and homemade ketchup
The ingredients are weighed, measured and prepared so all we had to do was cook it all – which saved a lot of time! The recipe cards were really easy to follow and had lots of information on including how many of your 5-a-day were included in the recipe, Kcal, fat and protein and the pictures helped to know what the meal should look like when served.
I was delighted with all 3 meals as they all had tons of flavour and were really filling! They were fun to make with my husband due to no stress or timing lots of different things so I don’t burn everything – it was just stress free cooking, which is amazing after a busy day at work and when the children are in bed! Our favourite meal was the posh burgers with rosemary chips and homemade ketchup as it was a twist on normal homemade burgers and the homemade ketchup is something we will be making often now.
Overall, we will be subscribing to Gousto in the future as we were delighted with how the box turned out, the box is good value as each meal costs from £4.13, we loved exploring new recipes and love how it’s all prepared and delivered to your door which saves the daunting cook after a long and busy day as they are quick and easy but healthy meals.
Receive a weekly box with fresh ingredients and recipes to cook a handful of meals you yourself have selected. The ingredients (including organic vegetables and high animal welfare British farm meats) are sent in the proper proportions needed in order to create the recipes. A perfect way to eat well without waste.
