It’s the time of the month again for my review of the Secret Scent Box which is a UK based fragrance sample subscription box. The subscription includes three x 3ml fragrance sample each month from a range of brands such as designer options and celebrity fragrances. The august edition includes the following brands: Valentino, Stella McCartney and Lancome.
Donna Rosa Verde by Valentino
I don’t think I’ve tried any fragrances by Valentino so I was interested this try this sample. The notes are as follows: ginger, bergamot, magnolia, rose, osmanthus, ambrette and woods. It is an ideal summer fragrance as it’s so fresh, floral and light!
Pop Bluebell by Stella McCartney
I have tried the original version of the Pop fragrance by Stella McCartney and loved it so I couldn’t wait to try this version. The fragrance contains the following notes: violet leaf, green mandarin, bellflower, tuberose, frangipani, sandalwood, cedar and musk. Another very fresh and floral fragrance that is perfect for the final weeks of summer.
La Nuit Tresor Nude by Lancome
Sadly, the final fragrance is my least favourite of the three! I have loved pretty much every Lancome but unfortunately this one isn’t my favourite. It contains notes of coconut, bergamot essence, rose, ambrox and vanilla. The fragrance is very rich, almost sickly and vanilla heavy which is a fragrance note I don’t love. However, if you like rich, vanilla-heavy scents then you might like this sample!
