Vyrao – Georgette
This is a brand new scent launched earlier this year, and is considered a unisex fragrance. The top note is rose, but it’s delicate and not overly floral, which works well in a unisex scent. The woody middle notes are perfect to counteract any overt sweetness, and the pink pepper and tobacco give it a slight but very pleasant darkness that I enjoy very much, This really is a scent that would work perfectly for either men or women and strikes a fine balance between floral and woody.
Police – Shock In Scent for Women
The initial impression of this scent is sweetness, and though the honey is supposed to be a base note I would say it’s very much at the top as well. However it fades down quite quickly and the floral scents, especially the jasmine, really come to the fore. The sweetness really lasts, and the honey scent maintains at a lower level, which gives the floral notes a nice edge. If you are a fan of sweet perfumes this layered fragrance works beautifully.
Givenchy – Ysatis
This is a classic fragrance that has been available for more than 30 years. It is very deep and rich, with the ylang-ylng mixing with the other flower notes to produce a very big bouquet. It definitely reminds me of 80s scents, it’s incredibly bold, and the base notes, especially the civet, give it a decided edge. I would say it’s very much a classic scent, not the light and fresh florals of youth but the confident strength of the mature woman.
