Choosing a fragrance can be challenging, so Secret Scent Box is a lovely way to try out different perfumes! Every month you get 3 5ml spray bottles of premium fragrances, which works out to be about a month’s supply.
The box is cleverly sized to fit perfectly though the mailbox, so you don’t need to worry about being in to receive it.
(This is the ladies’ version, though there is also a men’s subscription available.)
Along with the scent itself, there is a card for each fragrance with a scent guide.
This month we have Fleru de Murier by Karl Lagerfeld, Paco by Paco Rabanne, and Angel Nova by Mugler.
I’ve always associated Paco Rabanne with men’s cologne, but this is actually a unisex fragrance. The bright citrus top notes are complemented with the more musky undertones, and while it’s a bold fragrance I can see it working very well in the summer daytime.
The Karl Lagerfeld is definitely on the feminine side, with wonderful fruity top notes. There’s a underlying spiciness which waves it from being overly sweet, and I think it would work well for evening or daytime.
Finally, the Mugler is very new, released only last year, and it’s another fruity one. This one I would say is sweeter than the Lagerfeld, but once it settles down it’s very pleasant, and the lychee is definitely noticeable.
