If you enjoy perfumes, or are looking for your signature scent – or scents! – Secret Scent Box is a great way to try out perfumes.
Every month you get sent three vials, in a handy box that goes through the letterbox. They are a mixture of new and classic scents, and there is a scent note card for each one. These are especially useful if you aren’t quite sure what you like and dislike, and are an excellent guide to how perfume is combined.
Chopard – Happy Bigaradia
The initial impression of this is the citrussy orange and mandarin. It’s fresh and very slightly sharp, but it does down to a much more rounded scent. The honey and orange blossom notes come through beautifully, and with the patchouli especially blend incredibly well. to give a fragrance that is complex but not heavy. It’s fruity but not too sweet, and I think it would work well all year round.
Hermes – Un Jardin Sur Le Nil
The first thing that comes to mind with this scent is green, lots of it! It’s almost a tangy smell, but after a few minutes is saved from being overly sharp by the orange and floral notes. Despite the florals it’s not overly sweet, and could possibly be a unisex fragrance. It’s quite a surprising scent, and one that I think is either love or hate, but it’s refreshing and unusual, and would be very nice in the spring and summer.
Ted Baker – Woman Pink
Pink is definitely a word that first comes to mind when trying this perfume. There are plenty of florals with a hint of citrus. There’s also a slight powderyness underneath which is pleasant,. The vanilla base notes do take a while to come through, and are very light, but the warm the scent a little. This is a good everyday scent, feminine but not too sweet and flowery.
