Every month Secret Scent sends you a selection of three specially chosen scents. There is a mix of brand-new releases as well as more traditional and classic scents.
Each bottle is a spray, and are the perfect amount to last a month, as well as being conveniently portable!
The little box fits through the letterbox, and you also get three cards, which give you information about the smelling notes of each scent. This is particularly useful in figuring out what kind of scent you prefer.
Cacharel – NOA
This scent has been around since 1998, but it’s longevity is definitely justified. While the initial impression is very floral, the fruitier notes come out fairly quickly, and the base notes counteract any possibility of being overly ‘flowery’. While I’m not normally a fan of floral scents, this one worked well for me. It’s quite light and fresh, a good everyday scent.
Abercrombie & Fitch – Away for Women
Away was launched just last year, and is definitely aiming at the sweet end of the market. The fruit top notes are very strong, especially the pear, though it does dry down to a slightly woodier finish. That being said, it’s quite intensely sweet overall, and while I think it would probably work for nighttime and colder weather, it would be a little syrupy for summer wear.
DKNY – Original Women Fall
Moving away from the sweetness of the first two, Fall has some distinctly spicy notes together with citrus and a hint of floral. While the initial hit feels a little astringent, it quickly dries down to a pleasant mix of floral with a hunt of musk. Another nice everyday scent, and definitely one for women rather than girls!
