One of my favourite practical subscription boxes is the Secret Scents Box which is a fragrance sample subscription box. The box arrives each month with 3 x 3ml fragrances samples which combined should last for 30 days. The brands in this months box are: Versace, Issey Miyake and Calvin Klein, all of which I think have been included in previous boxes.
I love the simple boxes that the fragrance samples arrive in and it fits through my letterbox as well so I don’t need to be home for the box to be delivered which is very convenient. There are information cards for each fragrance too. I always have these samples in my bag as they are great for on the go and travelling.
Versace Bright Crystal
Let’s start with Bright Crystal which contains the following notes: yuzu, peony, lotus, magnolia, amber, musk and mahogany. The fragrance is very floral, sweet and very fresh so in that sense it is ideal for the summer months. However, I feel as though it’s a little old fashioned for me personally.
Issey Miyake L’Eau D’Issey Summer 2018
Next up is a brand I’ve wanted to try for so long but I just haven’t got round to it, Issey Miyake. The fragrance contains the following notes: litchi, pink grapefruit, guava, passionfruit, vanilla and woody notes. It’s a very fruity, fresh and ‘watery’ fragrance in my opinion. It is very unique but I’m personally not so sure about sadly.
Calvin Klein Eternity Aqua
Last but not least is fragrance brand I’ve tried a lot, Calvin Klein. The fragrance sample contains the following notes: cucumber, red apple, peony, apricot, jasmine, magnolia, gardenia, cedar, musk and woody notes. All three of the fragrances in this months box are very similar which is a shame if you don’t like summery, watery and overly floral fragrances as then you might not like any! I think this one is my favourite of the three but overall I’m a little disappointed as usually there’s much more variety in the type of fragrance included in the box.
