We all know by now how much I love the Secret Scent Boxes as they are a fantastic way of trying three fragrances before potentially buying the full size. The mini 3ml sizes are also fantastic as an on the go or emergency fragrance to keep in your handbag or for travelling. I always love receiving these boxes and the July box contains three new to me fragrances.
Versace Vanitas
Let’s start with my favourite of the three which contains the following notes: freesia, rose, osmanthus, tiara flower, cedar and tea. It’s a lovely, light and refreshing fragrance that is ideal for causal spring/summer days. Unlike some fragrances that are very floral, this one isn’t powdery or overwhelming. I love this fragrance and I will be looking for it in the future.
Calvin Klein Eternity Flame For Her
Calvin Klein is a brand that occurs relatively often in this box but thankfully I’ve liked all of the Calvin Klein fragrances I’ve tried, until now. It contains mandarin, sweet pea and labdanum notes. To me, it is a VERY musky and earthy scent which I’d usually love but sadly I really don’t like this fragrance.
Police DayDream
Next up is a brand I haven’t ever tried before, Police. It contains notes of peach, orange, grapefruit, green leaves, white flowers, musk, sandalwood and vanilla. This fragrance is summery, fresh and floral which I like but it is very generic and a bit overwhelming unfortunately. However, I like this fragrance and the adore the Versace fragrance (it’s amazing).
