I always love receiving the Secret Scent Boxes as they usually include fragrance samples I haven’t tried before. The box fits through the letterbox easily, the amount of fragrance should last for 30 days and they are the perfect size to keep in your handbag or for travelling. The brands in the October box include: Burberry, Jimmy Choo and FCUK.
Jimmy Choo Fever
Let’s start with my favourite of the three which contains notes of: black plum nectar, lychee, grapefruit, heliotrope, vanilla orchid, jasmine, Tonka bean and sandalwood. It’s a gorgeous everyday autumn/winter fragrance as it’s rich, sweet and fruity but musky too. It is a little similar to fragrances I’ve owned previously but I still like it!
FCUK Connect Her
I haven’t tried any fragrances from FCUK for years, probably since high school! This fragrance contains the notes: lotus, bergamot, lily of the valley, jasmine, violet, peony, musk, sandalwood, cedar and amber. This one has to be my least favourite from all of the boxes I’ve received so far sadly. To me it is very old fashioned, cloying and too strong but that’s just my opinion! Fragrance is such a personal thing and everyone has their own preferences.
Burberry London
Last but not least is from a great fragrance brand and one that I’ve loved so many fragrances from, Burberry. The sample contains the following notes: rose, honeysuckle, tangerine, tiare flower, jasmine, peony, wood and musk. I love this fragrance! It is a very close second to the Jimmy Choo sample. To me, it’s floral, fresh and fruity – the perfect everyday casual fragrance.
