I’m so late with this review (sorry!), it’s from one of my favourite subscription boxes, Secret Scent Box. The September box came with three fragrances I’ve never tried before from Elizabeth Arden, Joop and Cartier. The boxes are thin and small enough to fit through the letterbox, they are always nicely packaged and they come with information about each fragrance sample. The samples combined should last for around 30 days.
The first is Red Door by Elizabeth Arden which seems to be one of their most famous fragrances. It contains the follow notes: freesia, lily of the valley, wild violets, jasmine, ylang ylang, roses, sandalwood, oak moss and vetiver. Initially it’s a very powdery, floral and old fashioned fragrance but I do quite like it overall.
Next up, Wow! Women by Joop which is another brand I haven’t really tried before! It contains notes such as wild raspberry, rose, peony and white musk. Again, for me this smells like another generic fragrance but it would be nice as a casual daytime perfume for work or school.
Last but not least is my favourite fragrance sample from the September Secret Scent Box, Baiser Vole by Cartier. It contains the following notes: lily, citrus and green notes. I adore this fragrance, it’s so incredibly fresh, floral and light. I’ll definitely be looking out for this fragrance in the future!
