The world of perfume is huge, and sometimes it can be overwhelming even knowing where to start! Secret Scent can take some of the trouble out navigating the world of perfumes. Every month they send you three mini vials of perfume, enough to last a month. This means you can try your perfumes in different situations, because of course not all perfumes are suitable for all environments! They also include scent cards for each perfume, which tells you about the different scent notes, which really helps narrow down your preferences.
CK IN2U HER – Calvin Klein
This scent is all about the citrus. It’s bright and fresh, and I think works very well for colder weather. There’s a little warmth and sweetness at the end, almost like vanilla, which lingers pleasantly. While it’s a ‘for her’ perfume I think this is quite close to being a unisex fragrance, which is perfect if you prefer a less overtly ‘feminine’ or flowery scent.
For Her Forever – Narciso Rodriguez
This perfume was released just last year, for the 20th anniversary of the original For Her. It’s a lovely fresh floral initially, with some musk undertones which nicely complement the flowers. It’s quite delicate as well, it mellows out beautifully after a little white. It’s definitely feminine but more on the mature side without being old. I think this is definitely a perfume for women rather than girls.
Untold Absolu – Elizabeth Arden
As a contrast to the previous two, this is a wonderfully warm scent. I don’t get too much of the fruity notes, though they do have a lovely sweetness, but I find the overall impression is of the vanilla/tonka and woody notes, which make me think of autumn and winter evenings. This is a gorgeous fragrance, definitely my favourite of the three, and perfect for anyone who likes warmth and a little glamour.
