If you enjoy gardening or want to start getting into this interesting and useful hobby, Seed Pantry‘s Grow Club is a brilliant place to start! Made for gardeners of all levels, including beginners, the Grow Club is a monthly subscription box where you can choose a selection of seasonal plants, bulbs and/or seeds, which are then carefully delivered to your door.
The options change every month to keep things in the right timing for when they need to be planted, and I’ve enjoyed seeing the variation that Seed Pantry offer. Everything is very easy to see and update in your online account.
For this month’s box, I chose the following flowers – all perfect to bloom in Spring:-
Tulips Tres Chic (6 bulbs)
This fluted classic Spring flower has brilliant white petals on tall stems. You can plant them in borders or in container displays and they will flower in April-May next year. I can’t wait to see them!
Iris Blue Pearl (10 bulbs)
These Dutch Iris bulbs are in the variety Blue Pearl which will feature a vibrant deep blue colour with signature yellow blotches on each petal. Like tulips, they can be planted in borders or containers, anywhere that you want some eye-catching colour. They’ll flower around June-July next year.
Tulips Burgundy (6 Bulbs)
To contrast nicely with the Tres Chic tulips above, I decided to go with Seed Pantry’s online suggestion and also picked up the Burgundy tulips. These will have a rich burgundy colour as the name suggests, and they work well in displays with yellow, white or similar dark toned flowers.
Tulips Rococo (6 bulbs)
I couldn’t help myself and picked another tulip option! These Rococo variety have red and green feathering on the petals, with additional hints of yellow for something truly unusual and unique. Great for artistic garden or container displays!
There was a special selection of Microgreens available this month and I’ve been enjoying sewing the seeds of previous microgreens in past Seed Pantry boxes, so I couldn’t want to get my hands on a few more packets. I chose the Chopsuey Greens, Radish Mix, Chinese Kale and Meteor Peas, which came with a packet of growing medium and one starter tray. Looking forward to seeing how these turn out!
