Sewjo is a monthly box for lovers of sewing and haberdashery! It costs £19.95 + p&p.
The box is nicely presented. It’s surprisingly heavy, though I suspect that may be the fabric.
Let’s have a look inside!
The theme this month is ‘Fashionista’.
You’ve got a list of everything inside, plus RRPs. According to these, the full price value of the box is just over £27, which in a decent amount over the price!
First is this beautiful cotton poplin from Rose & Hubble Fabrics. The quality is very nice indeed, 100% cotton of course, and it’s the perfect weight for both clothes and crafting.
The pattern is a lovely slightly retro floral print, which would look equally good as a garment or an accessory.
2.5 m is a generous amount too, enough to make a skirt or blouse, or a child’s dress. If course if you are a crafter you could make cushion covers, bunting, or even a quilt.
As well as the fabric, there a couple of accessories too.
Sewing machine needles are something you can never have too many of, and these come in a variety of sizes to fit any sewing machine.
This is a gadget I haven’t come across before, a Hemline Automatic Chalk Wheel. This dispenses a fine line of chalk powder for guiding cutting out, and is great for marking delicate fabric as it simply brushes off. A really useful little thing!
Finally, a bag of Twirl Bites. Well, after all the hard effort sewing, you need a treat, right?
