With Christmas around the corner, you might be thinking about that age-old dilemma of what do you get the person who has everything? Or perhaps you’re looking for a practical gift that your recipient can enjoy using every day? Socks In A Box may just be the answer to all of these questions!
Available with a 3, 6 or 12-month subscription, they are a great gift to brighten up a dull sock drawer!
It’s been a while since we last reviewed Socks In A Box on here, and I’m very pleased to announce that the company now has a brand new range of socks available which are made from bamboo instead of cotton. This marks a brilliant step forwards towards a more sustainable future as bamboo grows much faster than cotton, uses up much less water and doesn’t cause so many problems with soil erosion, thus helping to protect the environment. Bamboo is also kinder to sensitive skin and feels softer as it’s better at wicking away moisture so it’s a win-win all round.
The quality is even better too as Socks In A Box now have socks which boast a 200-count for a higher quality product that will last longer too.
In addition to the switch to bamboo, Socks In A Box have also changed their packaging to being more sustainable as well. If you are purchasing a gift subscription, the first pair of socks will be sent out in a high quality, plastic-free gift box which can be reused (there is no branding printed on it) or recycled as it’s made from cardboard. After the first month, the socks will then be delivered in recyclable card envelopes to reduce packaging materials even further.
I was kindly sent a pair of the new Men’s Socks to give you an idea of what you can expect. Designs are sent out at random with a contemporary, striking and distinctive pattern – nothing boring or garish here. You’ll receive a different design every month and there’s a hand-linked toe for extra comfort.
These socks are certainly nice and soft, and I loved the bold striped pattern – my male housemate says they look ‘very cool’!
Women’s socks are also available – check out their website today.
