If you haven’t heard of The Vegan Kind before, they are a monthly lifestyle subscription box that’s aimed at those who are currently vegan, are looking at becoming vegan or anyone who just wants to try out some new vegan products! Each box contains 5-8 products from a variety of categories such as food, drink, toiletries, household, lifestyle and more, and everything has been checked and verified so that it’s 100% vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.
I always look forward to the boxes every month and their December ones are particularly awesome, so let’s open it up!
Harpers Candles Vixen Christmas Candle (RRP £5)
The Vegan Kind has a tradition of including a special Harpers Candle in their December box and this year is no different! This one is called Vixen and it smells so wonderfully festive with notes of Redcurrants, Pears and mixed Spices. It’s made from soy wax so it burns cleanly without the toxins that are found in mainstream candles, and it has a fantastic scent throw so that your whole living room or bedroom will smell amazing in no time at all.
Eat Real Cheezie Straws (RRP £0.69)
Brand new from Eat Real, these Cheezie Straws are amazing! It’s hard to believe that they’re vegan because they taste just like the real thing and have a moreish crisp and crunchy bite to them. Each 28g portion is only 147 calories too so they’re a guilt-free treat as well as being gluten and cruelty-free.
Mumm Meagz MMMinty Vegan Rocky Road (RRP £2.15)
This thick slab of Vegan Rocky Road is perfect for anyone who has a sweet tooth as it’s packed full of marshmallows, handmade gluten-free biscuit and lots and lots of minty chocolate pieces – yum! It’s a very satisfying chocolate snack and is approved by the Vegan Society.
Foods Of Athenry Chocolate Orange Brownie Bites (RRP £2.99)
Next up, I found a bag of Chocolate Orange Brownie Bites from Foods Of Athenry. This Irish based family-run bakery specialises in making gluten and wheat free products that are also vegan-friendly, and these little brownie cookies are mini bites of heaven! They are full of flavour and have a melt in your mouth quality which I love.
Brave Sea Salt & Vinegar Peas (RRP £1.19)
For a healthy snack on the go or to pack into your lunchbox, you can’t beat the range from Brave. These all-natural roasted peas are seasoned with a tasty Sea Salt and Vinegar flavour which makes them an ideal alternative to a bag of crisps when you want something savoury to nibble on.
Blackfriars Christmas Flapjack (RRP £0.80)
For a special Christmas treat this year, this festive Flapjack from Blackfriars has all of the best seasonal flavours wrapped up in one bar! There are Walnuts, Orange flavoured pieces, Sweetened Dried Cranberries, Sultanas, Raisins and a thick coating of Dark Chocolate for the ultimate vegan Christmas snack.
Simply Candy Mulled Wine Sweets (RRP £2.75)
Keeping with the Christmas theme, these Mulled Wine flavoured, heart-shaped sweets from Simply Candy are the cutest sweets I’ve seen all year. Made from natural ingredients, they use botanical plant extracts for both the colour and flavour, and these have been specially made for vegans.
Frubis Apple and Cinnamon Crisps (RRP £0.99)
The last product is a packet of Frubis Apple and Cinnamon Crisps which rounds off this festive box perfectly. Made without oil or preservatives, these thin apple slices are simply dehydrated to create a healthy, crunchy and delicious snack that’s packed full of fibre.
At the bottom of the box, I also found this month’s recipe card which is for Fluffy Yorkshire Puddings – yum! I’ll definitely have to try making these over the holidays!
