Hadleigh Maid Dark Chocolate Truffle Walnut Whirls (RRP £2.99)
It’s easy to go dairy-free when there are chocolates like this around! Created by Hadleigh Maid, this luxury vegan alternative to the traditional British favourite is absolute heaven in every bite. The truffles are made from a thick layer of dark chocolate that contains 56% cocoa solids and each whirl is finished off with light golden half walnut. They are incredible and the packaging is also fully recyclable, compostable and biodegradable.
Haynes Gourmet Candied Jalapeno Relish (RRP £4.99)
I’ve never tried a Candied Jalapeno Relish before but this unique combination is bursting with flavour and adds a deliciously spicy and sweet touch to burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, sandwiches – basically anything that you can think of! I’ve tried it on a burger this weekend and it was oh-so-good!
Karma Bites Caramel Popped Lotus Seeds (RRP £1.79)
Another new and interesting product are these Popped Lotus Seeds from Karma Bites. They remind me of popcorn and have a deliciously sweet layer of caramel coating each bite. Very tasty and moreish – this bag did not last long!
Crazy Rumors Black Cherry Lip Balm (RRP £3.99)
Crazy Rumours do a fantastic range of vegan-friendly lip balms and I’ve tried a couple of their different flavours in the past. This Black Cherry one is really nice and fruity, with a moisturising formula that’s packed full of natural ingredients such as Macadamia Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil and Olive Oil.
Cheeky P’s BBQ Flavour Roasted Chickpeas (RRP £1.30)
Seasoned with a smokey BBQ powder, these roasted chickpeas have a very satisfying crunch to them and are perfect when you want something savoury and healthy at the same time. High in protein and fibre, each pack also counts as one of your five a day.
BEPPS Black Eyed Pea Puffs in Cheese flavour (RRP £0.99)
I’ve seen a lot about these BEPPS snacks on social media lately so it was great to finally be able to try them out for myself. These gluten-free puffs are made from Black Eyed Peas and are transformed into a light and crunchy snack. At only 91 calories per bag, they’re a healthy alternative to crisps and the cheese flavour is very tasty!
TEA+ Energy and Cleanse (samples)
At the bottom of the box I found two samples from TEA+, one of their Energy blend, and the other is called Cleanse. These functional healthy teas contain a blend of vitamins to give you a little health boost whenever you need one throughout the day.
MyProtein Chocolate Vegan Protein Blend (sample)
The last product is another sample – this time it’s a sachet of MyProtein Vegan Protein blend – an all natural formula that contains essential amino acids and a whopping 22g of plant-based protein per sachet (based on pea and fava bean protein isolates). You’ll receive either the Strawberry or Chocolate flavour in your box and I was very happy to receive the latter.
This month’s recipe card is from Holly White and features her delicious sounding Berry And Coconut Cream Pancakes – perfect timing for Shrove Tuesday!
